Caroline Wilburn, a senior,  has lived in Prosper, Texas, since 2010. This is her second year on staff, and she holds the position of sports editor this year. In addition, she serves on the editorial board for Eagle Nation Online. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with friends, family and her dogs. She also plays for the varsity tennis team and looks forward to combining her love for sports and journalism together.

To celebrate a publication accomplishment, adviser Lisa Roskens, senior Mark Chrissan, superintendent Holly Ferguson and senior designer Gary Garrett, take a minute to let Chrissan show his designs, which recently won an award. Chrissan holds a poster of his design that represents the cover of Medical City Children's Hospital's "Kids Teaching Kids Texas Recipe Book." Chrissan's designs won him the opportunity to create the designs for the book. "I'm excited and I feel honored," Chrissan said. "I'm excited to see when it's all done."

Working with her fellow Girl Scouts, Girl Scout Carsyn Overstreet holds the drill. After buying the supplies, the girls built the Little Free Library together and installed it on Tuesday, April 27. “The premise that the girl initially got started with was to reduce, reuse, recycle,” Girl Scout leader Kalli Overstreet said. “They came up with a ton of different options and one was to reuse books, since we all had books. We got in contact with the local neighborhood here, and the HOA and it just kinda spawned.”

Smith was inspired by Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and Kate Middleton. "I was looking for a classy business style," Smith said. "I wanted this outfit to be something you could wear to a job interview or to some other semi-formal event."

February is Black History Month. “Specifically to our Black students, you are loved," Burdett said. "You are cherished. You make us better. You make us the greatest high school in the world. We are in the greatest school district in the world because we want to honor every single student every single day. We want them to feel like they are a part of a family.”

Spring Meet the Eagles will be held 6 p.m. Feb. 3 in the high school arena. The event will honor spring athletes in baseball, wrestling, track, powerlifting, softball, basketball, golf and soccer. The Mighty Eagle Band, Talonettes and the cheer team also will give performances. "It is important that we take the time to recognize all of our student athletes, both fall and spring, for all of the hard work that they do," Head football coach Brandon Schmidt said.  "It will be an awesome night and I look forward to seeing our coaches and athletes recognized for all that they do."

As she sits at her desk, senior Emma Hutchinson stares at an image from the Holocaust posted on the BBC website. Holocaust Remembrance Week is held Jan. 25-27, with special curriculum designed by the district. "In a world where every event is consumed and processed through the internet and social media, teenagers struggle to understand the impact and reality of a horrible event like the Holocaust," editorialist and ENO Editor-in-Chief Grace Williamson said. "In a class discussing the Holocaust, graphic images and videos can be dismissed as a 'scary movie.'"

Before their meet, senior swimmers lead the team in a "pep-splash" to bring up excitement. While Prosper High School is a 6A school, Rock Hill is a 5A school. Despite the team's UIL differences, they actively practice together on occasions and support each other's victories.

Siano will be majoring in sports management while playing football at Rice University in Houston. "Playing college football was my dream ever since I could even remember," Siano said. "Since the first grade when I started playing, I knew that was what I wanted to do. It's surreal that it's actually coming true. (Rice University) was my first offer. They were the first school to really believe in me and just the academic portion of it. They have the No. 1-ranked program in the nation for what I want to major in. It was just a no-brainer to go there."
