Soccer falls to Mt. Pleasant 1-2, faces Rockwall today

Eyes on the ball, freshman Samantha Tovar tries to block out the opponent. The Eagles end the season and make school history as they achieved their 1-0 win against Westlake during state finals. Along with this win, the Eagles are ranked no. 1 in state.

About to land, senior Nathan Tenbarge competes in the long jump event. Tenbarge played quarterback for the football team during track off-season. He placed sixth in his event.

Track takes runner-up in district, advances to area meet

As he prepares for the game, senior Caden Berg helps out teammate junior Lucas Tauzin with his captain arm band. This is the first playoff game of the season. This season has been very different to other seasons through out mentality and chemistry. Our team comes in to every game fired up and ready to go, Berg said. Last season we came into playoffs thinking we won something already and ended up losing, This season we knew what we had to do and we went out there and did it.

Boy’s soccer team wins first playoff game, advances to next round

Shaking hands with the diving coach, sophomore Pierce McHam received the Best Diver Award. Some teammates recieved awards for their performance throughout the year as a player and as a teammate. The banquet took place in the community room at Childrens Health Stadium.

In an attempt to get away from his opponent, freshman Stetson Buttril chases after the ball. The boys soccer team took on Mt. Pleasant and lost 1-2. They will face off against Rockwall Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. at Children’s Health Stadium.

Caroline Wilburn, a senior, has lived in Prosper, Texas, since 2010. This is her second year on staff, and she holds the position of sports editor this year. In addition, she serves on the editorial board for Eagle Nation Online. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with friends, family and her dogs. Thank you for taking the great photos of the “action” in Prosper Soccer! My son is Stetson Buttrill, he is a Freshman, and is number 18. I just noticed that a photo of Stetson was accidentally tagged Cooper Olsen. I see completely how you thought it was Cooper, as the one in his eighteen number wasn’t very visable and Cooper is number 8. (Mt. Pleasant game). I love the photo of Stetson.
