Haley Medeiros

Haley Medeiros, Social Media Director, Reporter

Haley Medeiros was born in New Jersey, calls Massachusetts home, but has also lived in California and Texas. She moved to Prosper the summer of 2017 and is currently a junior. Haley is the Social Media Director for ENO this year and is so excited for the challenge. She loves to write, play with her German Shepherd and Golden Retriever, and sleep. She is excited for her second year on staff, and can't wait to cover more stories.

Freshman football players walk in their first Meet the Eagles. Fall sports were formally introduced to the public under the lights. The new PISD stadium in partnership with Childrens Health was also inaugurated. The first Varsity game will be at the stadium Aug. 30.

Graduation moved from The Star in Frisco on May 22 to Childrens Health Stadium on June 5. The ceremony will last three hours and will follow guidelines set by the Texas Education Agency.

Computer applications competitors wear their UIL Regionals medals at Baylor University in Waco on Saturday, April 13. Logan Davenport placed first, Aryan Dhanraj placed third, and Austin Garner placed fourth. Together - along with Rehaan Merchant -they were the first-place team. Freshman Amanda Hare placed second in headline writing, Brittany Wood also placed second in poetry. The UIL teams will advance to state May.

PHS powerlifter Alannah James holds up her Region 6 Scholarship. The Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association presented the award. James placed third in state for 6A at the THSWPA Championship.

Junior Juliana (JJ) Baugher holds up a wrestling sign Friday, Feb. 22, before the team heads off to the UIL State Championship, held Saturday, Feb. 23. She placed fourth and sophomore John (LJ) Richardson placed sixth. The meet was held at the Berry Center in Cypress, Texas.

Abbey Beasley, No. 11, winds up for a pitch against Pilot Point. The Lady Eagles Softball team most recently fell to Keller 4-1, but have another game against Southlake Carroll. This game has been moved to Wed., Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Their season started Feb. 11.

Architecture students Alan Weng, Edwin Delima, Brooks Feldker, Derek Holdge and Aishwarya Arya George stand behind New York City building models at the Architecture Construction Engineering Mentor program awards. Their teams, which included students from other schools, won first for project video and display board. George won a $10,000 scholarship. I have to admit I jumped up and yelled louder than she did when she won, architecture and engineering teacher Donald Berliner said. This was a two month program the students attended every Thursday night with mentors from the ACE fields. Prosper had five students in the group of 90.
