Haley Medeiros was born in New Jersey, calls Massachusetts home, but has also lived in California and Texas. She moved to Prosper the summer of 2017 and is currently a junior. Haley is the Social Media Director for ENO this year and is so excited for the challenge. She loves to write, play with her German Shepherd and Golden Retriever, and sleep. She is excited for her second year on staff, and can’t wait to cover more stories.

"E-learning is a system that is new to everyone, and while this isn't necessarily an easier way to do school, students have the freedom to make their own schedule and pace themselves," junior and social media director Haley Medeiros said. The Prosper archery team groups together after finishing all their flights at state. The team traveled to Belton, Texas, to compete at the 2019 Texas-NASP State Tournament. “I think about how breathing is important, and also, I need to slow down and take my time," freshman archer Emma Lynch said. "It is just me, an arrow, and my target.” The team placed seventh out of 59 other groups that competed March 29. This placement qualified the team to advance to nationals. “We are very proud of what our High School Archery team has accomplished so far this year," head coach Jason Lynch said. Architecture students Alan Weng, Edwin Delima, Brooks Feldker, Derek Holdge and Aishwarya "Arya" George stand behind New York City building models at the Architecture Construction Engineering Mentor program awards. Their teams, which included students from other schools, won first for project video and display board. George won a $10,000 scholarship. "I have to admit I jumped up and yelled louder than she did when she won," architecture and engineering teacher Donald Berliner said. "This was a two month program the students attended every Thursday night with mentors from the ACE fields. Prosper had five students in the group of 90."

The recycling program continues its second year at the high school. Engineering teacher Donald Berliner and special education teacher Logan Bass started the program last year to help clean up the school. "Students can help with the program most importantly by paying attention and throwing the correct items in the recycling bins," Bass said. "If you have cans or bring drinks in cans, make sure you recycle these so we can earn money for our school."

Students from high school government classes had planned to host a debate between both candidates running in Texas' Third Congressional District race, but republican candidate Van Taylor could not attend.
