Ana Arredondo, Editor-in-Chief

Senior Ana Arredondo is the Editor-in-Chief of Eagle Nation Online, the student publication of Prosper High School. She is a part of the yearbook and newspaper staff on campus, competes on the UIL Journalism team, and is also a member of the student council. She has received several recognitions and awards for her writing, including an "Excellence" in sports writing at the JEA National Convention. She promises to strive to do her best with coverage of all Prosper events and students. Ana plans to double major in journalism and business. You can usually find her on the sidelines with a camera.

Junior photojournalist Justin Hudson photographs himself while wearing a mask and abiding by Centers of Disease Control recommendations to protect himself and others from COVID-19. According to the CDC, 33% of hospitalized patients were black and 92.3% of deaths out of 100,000 people in New York were as well. "African Americans are experiencing an excessive COVID-19 death toll," Hudson said. "This further reveals the dark legacy of racial inequality in America."

Essential workers continue to help people around the Metroplex maintain buildings and homes. This repairman in the Rock Hill area grabbed junior photojournalist Justin Hudson's attention during one of the cloudy days this month. The North Dallas area had the second wettest March on record, which gives plenty of owners an opportunity to find possible roof leaks.

With hands lifted high, senior Hunter Sheffield does not hold back his cheers at the Eagles' matchup against McKinney High Friday, Sept. 20. Although there was a light rain shower late in the third quarter, the student section broke out to sing "Sweet Caroline" together. Prosper came out on top with a win over the Lions 49-14. "My favorite moments of Friday Night Lights are the memories," Sheffield said. "I always tend to meet new people at the game and always establish a friendship, or get to know them better when it's under the lights."
