PHS hosts club expo night, football season ends

At Prosper’s annual Christmas Festival, a volunteer helps families decorate holiday-themed cookies. The event was held on Dec. 5, 2025 and lasted from 3-7 p.m. Some activities conducted at the festival include a selfie station with Santa, face painting, an ice skating rink and more.

Upcoming

  • The beginning of the third nine weeks has started today, Jan. 6.
  • The Prosper HS Expo Night will be held on Jan. 13, lasting from 6 – 8 p.m.
  • Campus tours will take place next week, with high schools being open Jan. 13 from 9:15 – 10 a.m. Register early to secure your spot here.
  • The Town of Prosper is holding the Visual Arts of Prosper’s 2026 Annual Art Show at town hall lobby Jan. 12-23. The exhibit will take place during town hall’s regular business hours. Learn more about Visual Arts of Prosper here.
  • Christmas tree recycling will continue to take place at Tucker Park until Jan. 12. The event is free for all Prosper residents, and the drop-off location is available 24/7. Check out more details here.

"I've enjoyed (the different art) a lot because everybody has a different style, everybody wants different materials," Vasquez said. "They are creating things that they love on top of the things that they probably don't enjoy as much."
Students receive maximum points at VASE art competition
Made in Canva, the design depicts how the new yearbooks are on the way, and almost ready to be given out to students. The Eagle Yearbook staff worked on the book throughout the whole year. "We sort them into boxes alphabetically," senior Isabella Rodriguez said. "So when someone comes up to the table in the arena foyer, we can just go and find the book super easily."
News Brief: Yearbook distribution days approach
Holding a fire hose to act as a ribbon, Assistant Fire Chief Shaw Eft, Fire Chief Stuart Blasingame, Mayor David Bristol and Town Manager Mario Canizares prepare to officially launch Fire Station 4. The department opened its doors to the public on April 28 at 3 p.m. "If there's a lightning strike, we can get an engine to that site location quicker," Bristol said. "Chief Blasingame is manning the station with a fire engine paramedic crew, so on that engine, it can handle any paramedic need as well as fighting a fire."

As the rain pours down, the water flows down from the dirt to the grass. The storm passed over Prosper High School on April 21 throughout the school day. The rain is expected to last until 3 p.m. on April 21.
A strong twist in the weather
As the sun sets, the orange fades into blue. The sun descended at 7:54 p.m. on Friday, April 10. Rain is expected tomorrow, April 11, starting at 1 p.m.

Caps in the air, the class of 2026 celebrates their final moments as Prosper High School students. 755 students graduated this year. "It's kind of bittersweet," senior Jerrick Jeyasee Kamaraj Christopher said. "Yes, I'm excited to graduate, but I'm going to miss the community here at Prosper. But, there's so many new opportunities that are opening up, so I'm very excited to explore all of that."
Seniors celebrate 2026 graduation
The photos display aspects of senior Trisha Panicker's life, from journalism to debate to spending time with her friends. Panicker will be double majoring in politics and journalism in college. "I want to continue the work I was doing in Prosper, from covering locals to reporting on community events and traditions," Panicker said. "The joy and purpose that this gives me will hopefully motivate my future endeavors during my time in university."
Senior Column: How journalism changed my life
Beaming ahead, assistant Jimmy Frideley takes a break from his work. Frideley has been an AP for the past three years and at PHS for six. He taught social studies and special education before becoming an assistant principal.
Assistant principal focuses career on student advocacy
In a collage of photos, senior Aarushi Rana showcases her highschool memories. Rana has been on the newspaper team for two years. "Journalism has my heart," Rana said. "I have made some of my best memories in this room."

For this episode, hosts Chatelain and Victoria Byers review and discuss Thundercat’s latest album, “Distracted” Overall, the album was rated an eight on the “Sound Spectrum” scale.
