In the fourteenth episode of season two of “The Sound Spectrum,” hosts senior Victoria Byers and sophomore Ethan Chatelain share their perspectives on American musician, singer, record producer, songwriter and bassist Thundercat’s sixth album, “Distracted.”
The hosts discuss their overall thoughts on the album, favorite and least favorite songs, and how they believe it ranks on the ‘sound spectrum.’ This podcast series focuses on reviewing a variety different music projects and music in general. In this episode, Byers and Chatelain discuss how the project was ranked, along with how they felt about the songs and how they were rated in contrast to the other pieces. Some of the songs mentioned are “Candlelight,” “No More Lies,” “Funny Friends,” “Anakin Learns His Fate” and more. Byers and Chatelain want to thank you for listening to the final episode of Season 2, and helping make The Sound Spectrum what it is now. Chatelain will be returning next year for season 3 with a new co-host, and a whole new list of albums to cover. Byers will be continuing “The Sound Spectrum” in college with “The Sound Spectrum: Outer Frequencies.” From everyone involved with making “The Sound Spectrum” possible, thank you for listening, and keep an ear out for when we return.
