After a successful catch, junior Katelyn Bergh poses with her rifle at the beginning part of her color guard show. The Prosper Winter Guard went to state, becoming a state finalist and placing seventh. “I was very happy with how it ended,” Bergh said. “I think the majority of our team was. It was some of the best runs we could hope for.”

As they paint their ceramic pieces in the art room, juniors Shallyn Hopkins and Libby Allen work to finish their projects before summer break. Earlier in the week, the class wrapped up their final assignments. “I’m just glad to be done,” Hopkins said. “I can’t wait to see how they look after firing.”

Green is currently in the Fashion Design II class and practicum, a class centered around making different clothing pieces and hosting the fashion show later in the year. "I really like it," Green said. "You get to express your creativity and put that into clothes."

As we look back to last year's graduation, class of 2025 prepares for their ceremony this Thursday at 7 p.m. at Children's Health Stadium. Alumni Brianna Marler participated in the graduation ceremony last May. Last year's graduation was also held at Prosper ISD Children's Health Stadium.

At the UIL Banquet on May 2, seniors in UIL take a stand to be recognized. Each competition and those who competed in district and regional meets were honored, as well as those heading to state. The event was held at Children's Health Stadium at 5:30 pm.

As students cheer, the Prosper wrestling team gets recognized before they head off to the state meet. The team competed over the weekend. Senior Jack Ringger took first runner up in the state meet.

Under the lights, Isaiah Johnson returns to one of Trisha Weyenberg's classes since he graduated in 2017. He lives in Kansas City for his job and travels around the country to speak in classrooms. "Don't listen to people, because you can make money and be happy," Romeo said. "And, I could be an example of that. I do what I love." Another seperate article is coming out on Isaiah soon.

"I've enjoyed (the different art) a lot because everybody has a different style, everybody wants different materials," Vasquez said. "They are creating things that they love on top of the things that they probably don't enjoy as much."

Made in Canva, the design depicts how the new yearbooks are on the way, and almost ready to be given out to students. The Eagle Yearbook staff worked on the book throughout the whole year. "We sort them into boxes alphabetically," senior Isabella Rodriguez said. "So when someone comes up to the table in the arena foyer, we can just go and find the book super easily."
News Brief: Yearbook distribution days approach
Holding a fire hose to act as a ribbon, Assistant Fire Chief Shaw Eft, Fire Chief Stuart Blasingame, Mayor David Bristol and Town Manager Mario Canizares prepare to officially launch Fire Station 4. The department opened its doors to the public on April 28 at 3 p.m. "If there's a lightning strike, we can get an engine to that site location quicker," Bristol said. "Chief Blasingame is manning the station with a fire engine paramedic crew, so on that engine, it can handle any paramedic need as well as fighting a fire."
