Upcoming

  • Prosper ISD students will have a half-day Dec. 15. Winter break will be from Dec. 18 – Jan. 2. Students will begin the 3rd nine weeks on Jan. 3, and the next Eagle Brief will be posted on that date. Check the above resources for events in the next few weeks.
  • As a reminder, there are no schedule or teacher changes for next semester. You must remain in the electives that are on your schedule. The only changes that will be made are levelling down from an Honors or Ap level course. Level down forms are due on Wednesday, Dec. 13. Pick up a form from the Upper House or Lower House if you plan to level down.
  • Don’t forget to order cap and gowns for seniors on Jostens.
  • Pick up Angel Tree ornaments off the Christmas tree on the Peagle to buy donations for the holidays.
  • Prosper Career Independent Study will host the Winter Showcase in PHS cafeteria from 6-8 p.m. Stop in and listen to the students present their career research.
  • The Winter Choir Concert will be hosted in the auditorium on Friday, Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m.
  • STEMMA meeting in room #2247 after school on Dec. 4 and 6. STEM mentoring association. A club filled with helping elementary kids nurture their passion for STEM, developing valuable life skills, and collaborating with others.
  • Rice MUN conference sign-ups end Dec. 31. Check MUN Google Classroom for registration information.
  • Build to Give will be on Dec. 4 and 5. Come to The Nest and build a LEGO heart on the LEGO wall! For each heart built and shared, a LEGO set will be donated to a child in need of play this holiday. It is also a competition between high schools! Let’s win!

Uplifting

  • The PHS Debate team competed in the Isidore Newman tournament in New Orleans, Louisiana this past weekend.

Kaya Miller, Co-Editor-in-Chief
Kaya Miller, originally from Los Angeles, California, moved to Prosper, Texas in 2017. She attends Prosper High School as a senior. This is her third year on staff, and she is co-editor-in-chief of Eagle Nation Online and editor-in-chief of the print newspaper Eagle Nation Times. Miller is on the Prosper debate team as historian. She is also president of the Spanish Honor Society. Miller is also on the Dallas Rowing Club Juniors team. In her free time, she enjoys baking and playing guitar.

Juliana Cruz, a former native New Yorker, is a senior at Prosper High School. This is her second year working for Eagle Nation Online and she serves as social media manager, news editor and Editor in Chief. She enjoys writing and wants to continue to expand her coverage. Outside of school and work, she is on the powerlifting team and spends her time with family.
