  • Prosper’s annual Celebrate Prosper event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Frontier Park from 4-8 p.m. There will be a cornhole tournament, band performances, inflatables and more. Donate new unwrapped toys to Santa’s Helpers WFAA during the events to provide children with toys across the DFW area.

Uplifting

  • The Reynolds cheerleaders visited the Prosper Police Department on Thursday, Sept. 25, to deliver treats and goodies, as well as a “thank you for your service” sign they created. They said they are striving to complete 2-3 service projects a month to give back to the community.
  • The PHS Eagles team beat Plano East HS 48-20 at their first home game on homecoming night, Friday, Sept. 26. They are currently undefeated with a win to loss score of 4-0.
  • The Mighty Eagle Band will have their first competition at Bedford for BOA Dallas on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Pennington Field. The Band will have their preliminary performance at 12 p.m.

"I've enjoyed (the different art) a lot because everybody has a different style, everybody wants different materials," Vasquez said. "They are creating things that they love on top of the things that they probably don't enjoy as much."
Students receive maximum points at VASE art competition
Made in Canva, the design depicts how the new yearbooks are on the way, and almost ready to be given out to students. The Eagle Yearbook staff worked on the book throughout the whole year. "We sort them into boxes alphabetically," senior Isabella Rodriguez said. "So when someone comes up to the table in the arena foyer, we can just go and find the book super easily."
News Brief: Yearbook distribution days approach
Holding a fire hose to act as a ribbon, Assistant Fire Chief Shaw Eft, Fire Chief Stuart Blasingame, Mayor David Bristol and Town Manager Mario Canizares prepare to officially launch Fire Station 4. The department opened its doors to the public on April 28 at 3 p.m. "If there's a lightning strike, we can get an engine to that site location quicker," Bristol said. "Chief Blasingame is manning the station with a fire engine paramedic crew, so on that engine, it can handle any paramedic need as well as fighting a fire."

Caps in the air, the class of 2026 celebrates their final moments as Prosper High School students. 755 students graduated this year. "It's kind of bittersweet," senior Jerrick Jeyasee Kamaraj Christopher said. "Yes, I'm excited to graduate, but I'm going to miss the community here at Prosper. But, there's so many new opportunities that are opening up, so I'm very excited to explore all of that."
Seniors celebrate 2026 graduation
The photos display aspects of senior Trisha Panicker's life, from journalism to debate to spending time with her friends. Panicker will be double majoring in politics and journalism in college. "I want to continue the work I was doing in Prosper, from covering locals to reporting on community events and traditions," Panicker said. "The joy and purpose that this gives me will hopefully motivate my future endeavors during my time in university."
Senior Column: How journalism changed my life
Looking ahead, assistant Jimmy Frideley takes a break from his work as he contemplates his next job, which means leaving Prosper High for the Richland High campus. Frideley has been an AP for the past three years and at PHS for six. He taught social studies and special education before becoming an assistant principal.
