Before driving to the final four game in Houston, Texas, the Prosper Girls lacrosse team are sent off by the Prosper Fire Department. The girls lost 11-15 in the state semi-finals against Coppell. The game was hosted at Friendswood High School.

As last years seniors receive their diplomas, 2023 graduate Makayla Noble cheers on her peers as they walk the stage. This years graduation ceremony will take place at the Prosper ISD Childrens Health Stadium. All three high schools will have their event at the stadium. Graduation is set to take place on Wednesday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m.

At UT Austin, sophomore Kate Pemberton celebrates the bronze medal at the UIL State track meet today. Pemberton competes in pole vault. She completed a new PR of 12 feet.
Eagle Brief: May 6 – 12
After taking first place at regionals in Literary Criticism, freshman Suhani Singh holds the plaque with her championship and state-advancing teammates freshman Sahasra Dittakavi and sophomore Nainika Ronanki. Dittakavi and Ronanki also will advance in Ready Writing, after Dittakavi took first and Ronanki claimed the third-place qualifying spots. UIL held the Region I-6A competition at Rock Hill April 26. These qualifiers will compete May 15 at the state UIL Academic Meet in Austin.
Eagle Brief: April 29 – May 5
After golf regionals, sophomore Erica Lee, junior Kendall Simms, freshman Tatum Churchman, freshman London Pearson and junior Sophia Duque present their scores. The team finished fifth and were district champions. Churchman led with a score of 71.
Eagle Brief: April 22 – 28
Running toward the ball, sophomore Ava Germany dribbles past her opponent. It felt great to make it to state, Germany said. The games leading up were all games that had people biting their nails. It came down to the last minute in every playoff game it felt like. I think the biggest challenge our team faced during state was confidence. Everyone believed in us to win we just had to believe in ourselves and even with the result we got I believe we could have been more confident.

Trophy in the air, the Varsity Girls soccer team celebrates qualifying for state. The team beat Marcus on April 6. The team is selling t-shirts so click the link below to order one.

Making seams in her design, junior Jade Hotard and the rest of the Fashion Design II class prepares for the fashion show. The designers will be displaying a villain and a hero themed look from movies. The fashion show will be held May 15 at 6 p.m. in the auditorium.
A look before the runway

PFAS are known as per or polyflourinated substances, which are man-made chemical compounds. With exposure via consumption to these forever chemicals, individuals may experience complications with their immune system, liver, reproductive system and even the development of cancer.

News Brief: End-of-year senior information, dates and more
Displayed on a white board is the goals written by members of the Mayors Youth Advisory Council. The committee meets monthly to share ideas with Mayor Bristol. During meetings, updates are shared by the mayor, and the students discuss hot topics to resolve youth relates issues.
Prosper ISD students advise mayor
In front of the lower house, a Relay for Life sign, made by the student council, promotes the event. The event will be hosted to raise money against cancer. The fundraiser will be on the PHS Turf and Track, on April 12 from 6 – 10 p.m.

Caps in the air, senior Kaya Miller, center, celebrates the conclusion of the May 23 morning ceremony. PHS graduates, all 823, had their own favorite memories to share following the festivities, which had originally been scheduled for the evening prior, but inclement weather required a change. “My last football game season was definitely memorable. I always went with my three friends and we would make a whole tradition out of it,” Miller said. “We would get ready, go to the game and then go to either dinner at Texas Roadhouse or In-n-Out.”
Seniors celebrate 2024 graduation

We decided on the theme as a class, but we each got to choose our own movie to inspire our hero and villain looks, Harbert said. I chose Cruella because I always liked that movie when I was a kid, and I thought the style in it was really neat.
Student designers debut in end-of-year runway show
As he focuses on his next play, sophomore Jacob Martinez goes for a touchdown. He will be playing for the varsity team next year. All teams in the football program participated in the spring football game.

Stopping for a glance along Miami Beach, junior Erica Deutsch rides along the Florida Coastline with her dad. This was one of my favorite rides, Deutsch said. Its always fun to explore new biking trails everywhere I go and see new scenery.

Kaya Miller, originally from Los Angeles, California, moved to Prosper, Texas in 2017. She attends Prosper High School as a senior. This is her third year on staff, and she is co-editor-in-chief of Eagle Nation Online and editor-in-chief of the print newspaper Eagle Nation Times. Miller is on the Prosper debate team as historian. She is also president of the Spanish Honor Society. Miller is also on the Dallas Rowing Club Juniors team. In her free time, she enjoys baking and playing guitar.
