  • Please join me, Prosper Eagles Baseball, and the Prosper ISD Athletics community in supporting Jaxson Little and his family as we battle Jaxson’s leukemia together. Every donation, no matter the size, can make a difference. We will be wearing Jaxson Little Strong shirts for games at Rock Hill on Tuesday and Orange Out at Prosper High School on Friday.
  • NeuroNext Foundation will be running a stationary and school supply drive. Please bring any extra school supplies like pencils, notebooks, backpacks, etc. in good condition to the following rooms: 2210, 3103, 2245, or 1148. The donation period is from Feb. 20 to April 18. All donations go to special education schools and facilities in the US and India for children in need.

March is Theatre In Our Schools Month. Theatre In Our Schools is a national campaign to promote and spread awareness about the benefits of theatre education. “TIOSM is important because it raises awareness about the value of theatre education in schools,” junior Annabelle Nugent said. “It emphasizes the positive impact performing arts on students, promoting creativity, collaboration, and individuality.”

  • Eagle Nation Online was named a CSPA gold crown winner
  • Senior Juliana Cruz was awarded a $1,000 scholarship by #THSWPA for her amazing academic achievements
  • Over Spring Break, the incredibly talented young broadcasters and filmmakers of Prosper High School won eight awards at the Student Television Network National Convention in Long Beach, California. This is considered one of the most competitive radio/television/film high school events in the nation. Please congratulate these kids when you see them: they worked their hearts out.

  • I wanted to thank everyone, again, for supporting our blood drive. We were very successful and succeeded in our goal of 94 pints.
    • We had 114 total donors
    • 77 pints of whole blood
    • 12 pints of Red Blood Cells
    • Two units of plasma
    • This can possibly help out 342 patients. Prosper High School is one of three huge drives and they depend on us so much.

After golf regionals, sophomore Erica Lee, junior Kendall Simms, freshman Tatum Churchman, freshman London Pearson and junior Sophia Duque present their scores. The team finished fifth and were district champions. Churchman led with a score of 71.
Eagle Brief: April 22 – 28
Running toward the ball, sophomore Ava Germany dribbles past her opponent. It felt great to make it to state, Germany said. The games leading up were all games that had people biting their nails. It came down to the last minute in every playoff game it felt like. I think the biggest challenge our team faced during state was confidence. Everyone believed in us to win we just had to believe in ourselves and even with the result we got I believe we could have been more confident.

Eagle Brief: April 8 – 14
After their competition, the girls robotics team celebrates advancing to state. They competed against 38 other teams. All three of the PISD robotics teams made it to the semi-finals with 5411 RoboTalons being the 4th seed alliance captains. They teamed up with 9105 TechnoTalons and came in 5th place. 9492 LadyTalons were chosen by the 7th seed alliance captain and came in 4th place.

Joined by the Prosper and Rock Hill varsity baseball teams, Jaxson Little stands on the PHS field. Prior to game time, the teams recognized Little and his journey. Both teams wore orange during pregame for both games, in honor of Little.

At the Prosper town hall, theatre officers from PHS, RHHS and WGHS stand with Fine Arts Director Tim Doyle and Mayor David Bristol after Theatre in Our Schools was proclaimed Feb. 27. News Brief: End-of-year senior information, dates and more
Displayed on a white board is the goals written by members of the Mayors Youth Advisory Council. The committee meets monthly to share ideas with Mayor Bristol. During meetings, updates are shared by the mayor, and the students discuss hot topics to resolve youth relates issues.
Prosper ISD students advise mayor
In front of the lower house, a Relay for Life sign, made by the student council, promotes the event. The event will be hosted to raise money against cancer. The fundraiser will be on the PHS Turf and Track, on April 12 from 6 – 10 p.m.
'Relay for Life' raises money to cure cancer
In a circle, GT American Studies students look at the half-eclipsed sun as they lie on the practice turf. Teachers passed out protective eclipse glasses to students at the start of third period. It was definitely a cool experience, junior Jacob Piehl said. It was crazy seeing how quickly the moon came over the sun and how dark everything was. Seen in the photo, starting at the yellow shirt and working clockwise, are juniors Annabelle Nugent, Erica Smith, Savannah Westwick, Sarah Goddard, Lauren Owen, Jacob Piehl and Avery Parker.
Total eclipse brings students together to view once-in-a-lifetime event
Arms outstretched, junior Faith Tull and sophomore Brooklyn Reeves reach the climax of their performance. The pair performed I Know Where Ive Been from Hairspray. The song is basically about marching for freedom for black people and no more segregation, Tull said. Its really just the characters talking about how there is a plan, that there has been suffering, that there are things that they need to do and that they can do it together.

Kaya Miller, originally from Los Angeles, California, moved to Prosper, Texas in 2017. She attends Prosper High School as a senior. This is her third year on staff, and she is co-editor-in-chief of Eagle Nation Online and editor-in-chief of the print newspaper Eagle Nation Times. Miller is on the Prosper debate team as historian. She is also president of the Spanish Honor Society. Miller is also on the Dallas Rowing Club Juniors team. In her free time, she enjoys baking and playing guitar.
