At the Prosper vs. Rockhill game on Jan. 2, head basketball coach Scott Imes performs a speech on sophomore and teammate Jaxson Little. Little is fighting leukemia, and Prosper has supported him with the hashtag #LittleStrong. The first 100 people at the Varsity Girls basketball game, and the first 150 people at the Varsity Boys basketball game got a #LittleStrong shirt.

Uplifting

  • The Varsity PHS Debate team traveled to New Orleans, LA, competing against some of the top-ranked individuals in the country. The following students achieved great success:

Tanish Chauhan: 4th place, receiving a Tournament of Champions Bid in Congress
Om Gaddad: 6th place, receiving a Tournament of Champions Bid in Congress
Avery Parker & Jacob Piehl: Tied for 11th place in Congress
Lena Truong: Semi-finalist in Oral Interpretation & Program Oral Interpretation
Keira Yang: 6th place, receiving a Tournament of Champions Bid
Loghan Dureau: Semi-finalist in Congress
Mahnoor Waqas: Semi-finalist in Congress
Sriram Srinivas: Semi-finalist in Original Oratory The Tournament of Champions is the most prestigious tournament that a high school competitor can attend, and it marks the first time in four years that someone from PHS has received a bid.

  • Senior Ellis Davis competes in the All-American game at 3 p.m. CTE.

Kaya Miller, Co-Editor-in-Chief
Kaya Miller, originally from Los Angeles, California, moved to Prosper, Texas in 2017. She attends Prosper High School as a senior. This is her third year on staff, and she is co-editor-in-chief of Eagle Nation Online and editor-in-chief of the print newspaper Eagle Nation Times. Miller is on the Prosper debate team as historian. She is also president of the Spanish Honor Society. Miller is also on the Dallas Rowing Club Juniors team. In her free time, she enjoys baking and playing guitar.

Riley McConnell, Chief Operating Officer
Riley McConnell is a senior at Prosper High School and is the Chief Operating Officer for Eagle Nation Online. This is her third year on staff and is involved in the Football Operations Department, an organization she is a founding member of. She is also the head photographer for the school's baseball team, alongside pursuing her personal photography career.
