A sendoff for the Prosper esports team was held Monday, Jan. 9. The team started competitions the same day. The team went to state and won the first round, currently advancing to the semi-finals.

  • Monday, Jan. 16 is a student holiday.
  • The application window for the PHS National Honor Society will open Jan. 13 and close Feb. 24. All information needed can be found on the Prosper High School National Honor Society page, or students can reach out to Cassie Rutledge.
  • PHS Theatre presents “Puffs Or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic,” Feb. 9-11, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. in the Prosper Theatre Black Box (Room 1168F). Bring your wand and come watch this comedy about Harry Potter, told from the Hufflepuff students’ point of view. Tickets are available online at www.prospertheatre.com, or at the door.
  • The Anime Club will be meeting Thursday, Jan. 19, for their annual Jankenpon tournament also known as rock, paper, scissors. During this time, they will also be taking their group photo for the yearbook. Please come to Middleton’s room in 3201 portable 2 after school from 4:15 p.m. to 4:50 p.m.

The Prosper FFA team competed in the Collin County Junior Livestock Show Saturday, Jan. 7. In the market broiler, Oaklee Robinson, Evelyn Rambo, Erica Heidle and Olivia Robinson placed as Grand Champion, Reserve Champion, 5th/12th and 7th/10th respectively.
