In this episode of The Game Room, sophomores Jake Radcliffe and Paul Popovich join junior Christian Alfano to discuss the topic of esports with Video Game Design and Video Game Programming teacher and Esports Club sponsor Jeremy Kincaid. The cast talks about the beginnings of Kincaids gaming career and how the Esports Club started. They also explore whats next for esports. This is the podcast’s second episode of its second season.

Guest writer Tia Laury from the Prosper Career Independent Study program class gave her opinion on the project by encouraging writers to submit. She also gives her take on the creative writing club, which meets at the school.

Students can get a glimpse into the various clubs and classes offered at Expo Night Monday, Jan. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. Programs at both Prosper and Rock Hill will be on display. Expo Night allows students to showcase the skills theyve learned in class, senior Morgan Harris said. They also get to interact with and inspire younger students to pursue their interests.

Junior Haley Stack and senior Neha Madhira take a break alongside the River Walk in San Antonio during the Texas Association of Journalism Educators Associations state convention held in San Antonio in October. The two journalists led a workshop there on student press rights and recently received a national award from the Womens Media Center for their work in that area. “It’s important to remember the power of your voice and how much speaking out and standing up can impact not only your life, but everyone’s around you,” Madhira said. “As student journalists, all of our stories are thoroughly researched and so when we do that, we are providing (readers) with accurate resources.”
