Erica Deutsch, originally from Orlando, Florida, is a junior at Prosper High School. This is her second year working for Eagle Nation Online and she serves as the feature and entertainment editor. She adores photography and hopes to create a positive impact with her writing and podcasts. Outside of school, she enjoys playing guitar, watching movies, trying new baking recipes, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

As the girls varsity team comes together, seniors Carly Garner and Jaeda Crabtree receive their certificates for the 2023-2024 season. The team came second in the district. Crabtree had 72 goals this season.

Walnut Grove High School hosted a UIL academic learning day on Oct. 21. Students from all around the state came to gain more knowledge and experience about the types of events they will be competing in this year. Students will compete in practice events before districts in April.

Hansen has played a lead role in various school plays, including SpongeBob in SpongeBob the Musical and Marius in Les Miserables. Hansen will next be playing Elijah in Moby Dick, which opens on Oct. 18 and will continue through Oct. 20.

The annual homecoming parade took place on Aug. 30 and started at 6 p.m. More coverage on the event will be coming soon. The Eagle Nation News team, which usually gives viewers a 15-minute weekly program, instead this week covered the homecoming parade. As she stands outside of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disneys Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida, Audrey Hightower plays the part of her role as a Bellhop. She started working with Disney through the Disney College Program. Hightower emphasizes that this program has given her opportunities for her career. The Disney College Program has helped steer me along a clearer path to what I would like to do professionally, Hightower said. Having the opportunity to get my foot in the door at such a world-renowned and prestigious company like Disney at such a young age is incredible and Im so thankful.

Never Look Back by Lilliam Rivera, published in 2020, combines otherworldly realism and trauma into a story celebrating culture and the strength of a first love. I enjoyed reading this book because it was different, yet captivating, sophomore and reporter Erica Deutsch said. As soon as I started reading it, I couldnt put it down.
