Because she said she likes them colorful and bright, sophomore Kendall McLachlin surrounds herself with her Converses. Her collection began 10 years ago. "I like (my Chuck Taylors) to all be the same style, just different colors," McLachlin said. "So that's usually the (shoe) I go to."

As she positions herself on the ladder, junior drum major and Talonnette Katie Lynn Sepper stands in front of the crowd and conducts the Prosper High School Might Eagle Band. This is Sepper's third year in the band and her second year on the dance team. "There are going to be hard things in life and you're not going to be able to do everything all the time. Just communicate," Sepper said. "The most rewarding part is inspiring others.
From Talonette to drum major

Hand on helmet, head coach Tyler Moore congratulates junior Lathon Latiolais on a successful play. Latiolais caught four passes at Friday's game and totaled 103 yards. "We just went out there and do what we do," Latiolais said. "Defense and offense went out there and did their job so we played a great game and it showed."

Together for the first time after tryouts, the JV Eaglettes gather together for a team picture at the annual "Made It Meeting." The team tried out this past March and ended up with 14 girls on the team. "I went into tryouts with an open mind by selecting both Talonettes and JV on my tryout paperwork," freshman Eaglette Leah Lopez said. "With that being said, I ended up making JV and was so happy and grateful."

Principal Nick Jones enforced cellphone rules during his first year as PHS principal in 2022. Students are not allowed to use these devices during instructional periods unless they have accommodations. "The states that have already banned phones needed to purchase areas to hold cell phones," Jones said. "The two main types are large cell phone lockers where students place their cell phone in during the day or individual magnetic cell phone pouches that students use during the school day."

After waking up, freshman Kaden Wortham finds damage to his family's backyard. A large storm swept through North Texas yesterday morning. "We (my family) kind of all were just walking around doing our morning routines, and we spotted one of our umbrellas was tipped over," freshman Kaden Wortham said. "Behind it, our tables and lots of our outdoor furniture were knocked over."

On the court, the junior varsity volleyball team huddles with their coach during a timeout. The Lady Eagles swept Princeton High School 3-0. “Everything I love about volleyball is getting to know the kids and helping them grow,” varsity assistant coach Mary Beth Spinuizzi said. “Not only in skill, but in character, on and off the court.”
