The board met Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. to discuss concerns brought up related to zoning boundaries, and decide on a finalized plan. "I came from Prosper High School to open Rock Hill as the new administrator, and I think opening new schools is awesome," lead assistant principal at Rock Hill High School, Melissa Weiss, said. "It provides more opportunities for students — obviously things are shiny and new in the beginning, but Prosper High has an awesome building, and Rock Hill is still amazing. I think that change is inevitable, and with a district that's growing at the rate that ours is, we have to open new schools."

On a tour of Dallas Baptist University, senior Gabriella Winans visits Pilgrim Chapel, the campus' church. The chapel opened in 1878, and still holds service today. Dallas Baptist University will be attending PISD's "College Night," which will be hosted by Rock Hill Monday, Sept. 13, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Working with her fellow Girl Scouts, Girl Scout Carsyn Overstreet holds the drill. After buying the supplies, the girls built the Little Free Library together and installed it on Tuesday, April 27. “The premise that the girl initially got started with was to reduce, reuse, recycle,” Girl Scout leader Kalli Overstreet said. “They came up with a ton of different options and one was to reuse books, since we all had books. We got in contact with the local neighborhood here, and the HOA and it just kinda spawned.”

To follow school guidelines, ENO staff members wear their masks during class. The district announced on March 4 that students will still be required to wear masks inside the school. Face coverings are required inside the building, but not outside.

The playground equipment at the new Sam Johnson Elementary School stands ready for the children coming fall of 2020. Sam Johnson is the 12th elementary school for Prosper ISD. It will be located at the north end of the Mustang Lakes residency.
