Emma Gnidziejko is the Photo Editor for the 2019-2020 school year, making her responsible for all of the photos in the newspaper. Emma is an outgoing, passionate individual, and loves to meet new people. Her passion is telling stories and showing emotion through photography, and getting to know the people she is photographing so that their personalities show through in the photos.

Wreckage fills Coleman street around 8 a.m. this morning after a student driver of a red Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck hydroplaned into Bus No. 80. The bus had no passengers. Two students from the truck were transported by ambulance to the local Baylor Scott and White hospital for examination. Prosper ISD police officials reported no serious injuries resulted from the accident.

In the first scoring round of the Prosper Games, sophomore Sam Sidhu follows through and reflects on one out of the five arrows at the 10-meter mark. Sidhu placed seventh in the high school boys division. The Archery Team hosted the Prosper Games this past weekend and shot very well, head archery coach Spaur said. The team finished the tournament in second place, behind the defending state champions.

Homecoming queen Victoria Carpenter receives a bouquet of flowers from student body president Preston Cutler. Carpenter ran alongside senior Panashe Ruswayi. They were also named to the sophomore homecoming court in 2017. I am very happy for the win, but more importantly I am grateful that all of the contestants display great leadership and discipline in everyday life, Carpenter said. At Prosper, we are one, and I share this with all the beautiful queens of PHS.

Hernandez signed to swim at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin Wednesday, Feb. 6. “Coach Milne has helped me become a better swimmer because I used to be really stubborn and not able to change, but she has taught me it’s better to change,” Hernandez-Flores said. “And I have (changed) not only as a swimmer, but as a person.”

Divers Kalee Morgan, Myka Sullivan, Parker Burton and John Dymond compete at the Frisco Sprint Invitational. The boys and girls swim and dive teams will compete at Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association meet, also known as TISCA, today. The boys scored 361.5, beating out Wakeland High School, and Girls scored 368, beating out Reedy High school, assistant swim coach Sierra Marchand said. Our boys have been undefeated so far this season.
