Eagle Brief Dec. 8 — 15

Student+cooks%2C+aka+the+Prosper+Pitmasters%2C+competed+at+the+Southlake+Regional+Cook-Off+on+Saturday%2C+Dec.+3+and+came+home+with+some+wins.+The+following+were+taken+by+the+Prosper+team%3A+Beans%3A+1st+place+call+%28Blue+Ribbon%29%2C+Chicken%3A+6th+place+call+and+Brisket%3A+1st+place+call+%28Blue+Ribbon.%29+Based+on+the+aggregate+scoring+the+Prosper+Pitmasters+placed+third+overall+with+21+teams+competing.

Student cooks, aka the Prosper Pitmasters, competed at the Southlake Regional Cook-Off on Saturday, Dec. 3 and came home with some wins. The following were taken by the Prosper team: Beans: 1st place call (Blue Ribbon), Chicken: 6th place call and Brisket: 1st place call (Blue Ribbon.) Based on the aggregate scoring the Prosper Pitmasters placed third overall with 21 teams competing.

Upcoming

  • The last day to order a cap and gown for seniors is Dec. 14.
  • The first boys soccer home game will take place Friday, Dec. 9.
  • The National Art Honor Society is collecting goods for the residents at the Settlers Ridge Care Center from Nov. 14 to Dec. 9. Students and teachers can drop off any goods from the list in the drop off box by the cafeteria or in room 3209 in the second portable. Handmade cards are welcome.
  • The PHS Theatre Department will be performing “Clue” Dec. 8-10 in the Black Box Theater at 6:30 p.m, for tickets click here.
  • Off-season and spring football practices will begin in January.
  • The Prosper Helping Hands club is collecting donations for the Collin County Animal Shelter. The donation drive will run from Nov. 28 through Dec. 9. Items requested include cat and dog toys, cat and dog treats, leashes, collars and pet grooming products. Donation bins are located by the front office, in the learning cottages and in room 1213.
  • Tennis club will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 4:15 p.m. in room 1260.

Student cooks, aka Pitmasters competed at the Southlake Regional Cook-Off on Saturday, Dec. 3 and came home with awards in the following categories: Beans- 1st place call (Blue Ribbon), Chicken- 6th place call and Brisket- 1st place call (Blue Ribbon). Based on the aggregate scoring the Prosper Pitmasters placed third overall with 21 teams competing.

The PHS girls wrestling team placed third out of 27 teams at the Rockwall Varsity Wrestling Tournament. The boys team placed seventh out of 32 teams. Go, Eagles!
