Bumping the ball over the net, the varsity volleyball girls practice. On Wednesdays, the volleyball teams wear yellow practice shirts. The volleyball girls will play their first district game Friday, Sept. 10, in the high school arena at 5:30 p.m. against Little Elm.

Walking down the hall, senior varsity cheerleader Kallie Knight cheers in the send-off. The send-off occured in place of the Hawaiian pep rally Thursday, Aug. 2. The cheerleaders wore yellow shirts and leis for the spirit day.

As she researches information, senior Kierstyn Schroeder works on her computer in her second-period engineering practicum class. The class members, who are in the planning stages of a long-term project, will create an invention that works as a solution to a problem. A slideshow showing the students working on their projects will be up on Eagle Nation Online next week.

The Prosper swim and dive varsity team walk down the field at Meet the Eagles. Meet the Eagles occured on Saturday, Aug. 14. The event was to introduce fall sports in the new school year.

With flags high during second period, the Colorguard team practices for their fall show. The group started practicing for their skills over the summer along with the Mighty Eagle Band. The Colorguard will perform alongside the band at the first home varsity football game.

To celebrate a publication accomplishment, adviser Lisa Roskens, senior Mark Chrissan, superintendent Holly Ferguson and senior designer Gary Garrett, take a minute to let Chrissan show his designs, which recently won an award. Chrissan holds a poster of his design that represents the cover of Medical City Childrens Hospitals Kids Teaching Kids Texas Recipe Book. Chrissans designs won him the opportunity to create the designs for the book. Im excited and I feel honored, Chrissan said. Im excited to see when its all done.

During a drill, sophomore Evan Bish blocks No. 56 sophomore Zach Barnhouse. Bish plays as a defensive end and Barnhouse plays as an offensive lineman. Spring ball is a time where we dont really have junior varsity or varsity, Bish said. We basically just work on getting stronger as players.
