With flags high during second period, the Colorguard team practices for their fall show. The group started practicing for their skills over the summer along with the Mighty Eagle Band. The Colorguard will perform alongside the band at the first home varsity football game.

Directors of “The Lion King Jr.” musical and “Kodachrome” play will be holding auditions Aug. 23-24. The play will be performing on Oct. 14-16 in the Blackbox. The musical will also have three performance dates, Nov. 4-6. Visit prospertheatre.com for more information. (Cate Emma Warren)

  • Varsity tennis will play against Little Elm on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at home at 4 p.m.
  • Varsity volleyball will play against Wakeland on Tuesday, Aug. 17, away at 6:30 p.m.
  • Varsity volleyball will play away on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Aug. 19, 20 and 21, with the opponent to be determined.
  • Varsity tennis will play against Birdville away on Friday, Aug. 20, at 4 p.m.
  • Varsity cross country will compete against Southlake away at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21.
