Emerging from the darkness, lead singer Billy Corgan casts a shadow over the audience. The Smashing Pumpkins make an appearance less than a year later in Dallas for “The World Is A Vampire” tour for their latest release, "ATUM." Some fans argue this performance beats their last show, with the complex lighting and intimacy between the artist and the crowd, making bearing the heat worth it.

As they take a break, the Prosper high school band rests before their next performance. The band lines their instruments up when they are not in use. This instrument is called the mellophone (a marching French Horn).

Hands clapping, senior Branson Reeves gets the crowd loud. Prosper is currently ranked 21st in the state. "My goal for the rest of the season is to get at least one more touchdown," Reeves said. "I also want us to get through the playoffs at least through the third round."

"You never know what is going to happen in the match, so it can be nerve wracking to compete. Yet the challenge and working toward a goal makes it really fun."
Eagles celebrate senior night with clean sweep
Head bowed, junior Justin Alfano leads the team in prayer after the game. Alfano plays as the second string quarterback. "I thought it was great I was able to be a part of my team and lead the team in prayer because I like to share my faith in every way I can and spread His name, word, and gospel," Alfano said. "Being able to do that with my team made me really happy."
Football takes homecoming game win
Reaching with one hand above her head, senior Hannah Lee successfully blocks another shot. Lee is the only senior girl on the varsity team, and has been playing water polo for four years. “I am eternally grateful for the experiences and memories Prosper Water Polo has given me,” Lee said, “And I will carry them with me throughout my life.”

After celebrating their banquet, the senior boys of the Water Polo team get together for a picture. In the picture are seniors Nathan Tang, Tyce Pierce, Shane Gorokhovsky, Hanna Lee, Nick Vargas, Kaiden MaGee. The banquet took place on Nov. 16. The last game was on Oct. 15 against Southlake.

Climbing down the stairs, Donald "Skip" Phipps walks out of his bus. He drives bus 116-D. "I've had some times, driving for other places, when students, students weren't the nicest," Phipps said. "But, (since he's worked with students in Prosper), I just, I just enjoy driving the bus."
From naval officer to bus driver
Ready for questions, HOSA's information table about the blood drive stands organized outside of the cafeteria during lunch. The table will be out two weeks prior to the event. "During lunches, like any lunch you have, you just go up to that table and then they'll give you more information," said sophomore Maryam Alshawi, HOSA member. "And you can make an appointment."

Standing in green Malcom Hill continues his passion for football as a coach. This marks his second year working for Prosper High School. "I kind of fell in love with the sport in middle school," Hill said. "Played it throughout high school and up until college.”

As they discuss a dive, junior Kiera Williams listens to dive coach Eric Ognibene. Williams competes in varsity water polo, varsity swim and varsity dive. "You can't be scared and be a diver," Williams said. "You have to just do it."
Eagle Brief: Nov. 18 - 22
Performing as one, the Rock Hill Band plays in place of the Mighty Eagle Band on October 4th at Children's Health Stadium. The Rock Hill Pep Band will play stand tunes for the Prosper playoff game tonight. “Even with our friendly competition that all three schools have, we still want to make a clear message that all of Prosper ISD is still one,” Rock Hill drum major senior Maxwell Lee said. “Also, we understand the importance of Grand Nationals as a competition for the PHS band, so we want to support their trip and we wish them the best of luck.”
