Pictured above, Trey Shirey finished 4th at the THSPA State Meet for boys powerlifting, becoming the first boy to medal at the state meet. Raleigh Jackson and Peyton Hulett finished 8th and Luke Johnson 12th. Leo Anguiano and Colin Freeman also competed and finished in the top 20. (Brian Thompson)
  • JWAC will be holding morning and afternoon meetings in room 1247 Friday, March 31, Monday April 3 and Tuesday April 4.
  • The 2024 summer student trip for Berlin, Prague, Krakow and Budapest interest meeting will be held on March 30th in the LGI.
  • Calling all seniors who are 18 years old or will turn 18 by May 6: March 27 through April 6, there will be volunteers and a deputy registrar outside the cafe from 1:30-3:00 p.m. They will help you get registered to VOTE.

These students did a fantastic job over the weekend competing in the UIL Academic District Meet at Rock Hill.

Boys State Powerlifting results are as follows:
Trey Shirey finished 4th at the THSPA State Meet, becoming the first boy to medal at the state meet. Raleigh Jackson and Peyton Hulett finished 8th and Luke Johnson 12th. Leo Anguiano and Colin Freeman also competed and finished in the top 20.

Results from the Archery State Tournament are as follows:
PHS finished 4th in the state out of 66 teams. Sydney Robinson finished 2nd place for high school females with a score of 290 out of 300 and will be receiving a scholarship. 93% of PHS archers achieved NASP Academic Archer status (all A’s and B’s). The team also qualified for the National Tournament in Salt Lake City on April 29-30.

The Boys Golf team wrapped up the District 5-6A Tournament. The Prosper Eagles overcame a six shot deficit to come in second in one of the toughest golf districts in the state. They are now heading to Regionals.
