In front of the fire station sign, Prosper Police Department Chief Doug Kowalski, junior Christina Krasnova, senior Parker Reynolds, junior Isabel Multer, senior Riley McConnell, Fire Department Assistant Chief Shaw Eft and Fire Department Chief Stuart Blasingame finish off the training hosted at the Childrens Health Stadium. Reporters from ENN and ENO got to attend the training for Prosper PD, FD, FBI, PISD and others. A slideshow and story will publish on the specifics of the mock event.

Looking into the distance, junior Jacob Wimberly recovers after a set. Wimberly has swam as long as he could remember. I moved to North Carolina from Florida and began competitively swimming, he said. It started with summer leagues, and then I went to a club, and it really took off from there.

Varsity co-captain learns to ‘just keep swimming’

Students walk from the portables to the main building of Prosper High School. It is the third official week of the 2022-2023 school year. Passing period is still seven minutes long, although some portable teachers are letting students out a few minutes early.

Taking a break, sophomore Jaylen Sharp and seniors Scott Fredrick, Paige Schultz, Caleb Audia and Adriana Hart grip the wall. After each set, swimmers get to rest. “The consistency in our warmups is what really helps our swimmers keep up in the warmups,” coach Lena Harrington said. “It allows me to walk away to handle other meet things, and they can keep up with their warmups.”
