The Sound Spectrum Season 2, Ep. 6 – ‘The Life of a Showgirl’

Hosts discuss their thoughts on Taylor Swift’s newest album

Through a graphic designed in Canva by senior Trisha Panicker, the aspects of the sixth episode of the second season of The Sound Spectrum are presented. For this episode, hosts Chatelain and Victoria Byers reviewed and discussed Taylor Swift’s latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” Overall, the album was rated four and a half on the “sound spectrum” scale.

In the fourth episode of season two of “The Sound Spectrum,” hosts senior Victoria Byers and sophomore Ethan Chatelain share their perspectives on American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift’s twelfth album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”

As shown in the graphic, podcast host Victoria Byers shows how the albums they reviewed ranked on the ‘sound spectrum. The album “The Life of a Showgirl” was ranked at the lowest so far with a 4.5 compared to the other albums. The next episode will talk about the Grammy nominees and more.

The hosts discuss their overall thoughts on the album, favorite and least favorite songs and how they believe it ranks on the ‘sound spectrum.’ This podcast series focuses on reviewing a variety different music projects and music in general. In this episode, Byers and Chatelain discuss how the album was ranked, along with how they felt about the songs and how they were rated in contrast to the other pieces. Some of the songs mentioned is “Opalite,” “Ruin The Friendship,” “Actually Romantic,” “Honey,” and more. Next episode, the two plan on talking about the Grammy nominees and their feelings regarding it.

Victoria Byers, Social Media Director

Senior Victoria Byers leads social media posts for Instagram, X (formally known as ‘Twitter’) and Facebook. This is her second year as a staff member, and she normally reports football games as a Mighty Eagle Band member. As she continues to find more and more creative tasks, clubs and electives, she gets to finalize and lead in band, two clubs, along with joining three new organizations.

Ethan Chatelain, Reporter

Sophomore Ethan Chatelain is back for his second year of being on the Eagle Nation Online Staff. He is super excited to see how this year will go. He spent all of his life in Texas, but moved to Prosper in 2020. When not writing articles, he is usually hanging out with his friends or making music.

Trisha Panicker, ENO Editor-in-Chief

Trisha Panicker is a senior and this is her second year working for ENO, now as the Editor-in-Chief. She loves the town of Prosper and engages with the local community through her reporting. In addition, she is part of the PHS speech and debate team. In her free time, she enjoys going to coffee shops and reading.
