Throwback Thursday: Prosper Theatre looks back on magical experiences
Holding the saw, engineering teacher Lucas Best aids sophomore Abdullah Ramay cut wood for his Mystery Machine project. In Best's engineering class, students construct and build various projects. "I think my role in the class is making lessons engage the students, I think that's my number one job," Best said. "So a big part of what I try to do is make every lesson have some buy-in. I don't want to ever just be throwing someone in front of students for them to do, I wanna make sure it's something they are invested in, something they are excited about, something that they can actually build and create."

Focused, the yearbook team works on their pages to help complete the book on Mar. 11. There are 11 people on the yearbook team. "As far as what students can expect from distribution, they can expect something similar to last year," Potter said. "They will head to a designated location during their lunch and tell a staffer their last name, sign for the book and then enjoy."

Caps in the air, the class of 2026 celebrates their final moments as Prosper High School students. 755 students graduated this year. "It's kind of bittersweet," senior Jerrick Jeyasee Kamaraj Christopher said. "Yes, I'm excited to graduate, but I'm going to miss the community here at Prosper. But, there's so many new opportunities that are opening up, so I'm very excited to explore all of that."
Seniors celebrate 2026 graduation
The photos display aspects of senior Trisha Panicker's life, from journalism to debate to spending time with her friends. Panicker will be double majoring in politics and journalism in college. "I want to continue the work I was doing in Prosper, from covering locals to reporting on community events and traditions," Panicker said. "The joy and purpose that this gives me will hopefully motivate my future endeavors during my time in university."
Senior Column: How journalism changed my life
Sketching at a desk, Sapphire Vasquez works on a portrait. Sapphire Vasquez is a substitute teacher for art. "I've enjoyed (the different art) a lot because everybody has a different style, everybody wants different materials," Vasquez said. "They are creating things that they love on top of the things that they probably don't enjoy as much."
Students receive maximum points at VASE art competition
Looking ahead, assistant Jimmy Frideley takes a break from his work as he contemplates his next job, which means leaving Prosper High for the Richland High campus. Frideley has been an AP for the past three years and at PHS for six. He taught social studies and special education before becoming an assistant principal.
Assistant principal focuses career on student advocacy
In a collage of photos, senior Aarushi Rana showcases her highschool memories. Rana has been on the newspaper team for two years. "Journalism has my heart," Rana said. "I have made some of my best memories in this room."
