During the senior night festivities, Assistant Chief of Police Jody Woolverton fist bumps a child on the side lines. The Eagles competed on Thursday, Nov. 6. Following the game, the football team advanced to playoffs on Thursday, Nov. 13, claiming the win.

Upcoming

  • Prosper High School is accepting donations for the “Ship Serves” program through Tuesday, Nov. 18. To accompany the “Ship Serves” day on Nov. 19, a competition will be held among all second period classes to see which class can bring the most non-perishable items from Nov. 5 – 18. Class prizes include first place winning Chick-fil-A, second place winning a pizza party, and third and fourth place winning donuts and snacks.
  • The Nest is hosting a Shrinky Dink Make & Take during all the lunches on Nov. 17 – 18. Sign up on Minga and earn points!

Uplifting

  • Thanksgiving break is coming up! It will start on Nov. 24.
  • Redeem your Minga points at the Eagle Shack and use them to remove a tardy from your record! Students can also use them to attend the Eagles baseball game on Friday, Nov. 21.
  • Varsity football won 66-39 last Thursday, Nov. 13 against Hebron.

Addressing the crowd, NBC Correspondent Morgan Chesky speaks about his experience reporting during the Guadalupe River floods. "You can't be scared to stand in the mud of a big story and tell the truth, even if it breaks your heart," Chesky said. "You don't need me, or a poster or anyone else in this world to tell you that you are indeed. Stronger than you think."

Speaking to a student, PHS Testing Coordinator Courtney Langdon prepares for STAAR testing.Following the altered bell schedule, testing will be over by 2:45. "I make sure everything's ready for the test." Langdon said. "I train all the teachers, get all the rooms ready, get all the materials ready, get all the data ready."

Caps in the air, the class of 2026 celebrates their final moments as Prosper High School students. 755 students graduated this year. "It's kind of bittersweet," senior Jerrick Jeyasee Kamaraj Christopher said. "Yes, I'm excited to graduate, but I'm going to miss the community here at Prosper. But, there's so many new opportunities that are opening up, so I'm very excited to explore all of that."
Seniors celebrate 2026 graduation
The photos display aspects of senior Trisha Panicker's life, from journalism to debate to spending time with her friends. Panicker will be double majoring in politics and journalism in college. "I want to continue the work I was doing in Prosper, from covering locals to reporting on community events and traditions," Panicker said. "The joy and purpose that this gives me will hopefully motivate my future endeavors during my time in university."
Senior Column: How journalism changed my life
Sketching at a desk, Sapphire Vasquez works on a portrait. Sapphire Vasquez is a substitute teacher for art. "I've enjoyed (the different art) a lot because everybody has a different style, everybody wants different materials," Vasquez said. "They are creating things that they love on top of the things that they probably don't enjoy as much."
Students receive maximum points at VASE art competition
Looking ahead, assistant Jimmy Frideley takes a break from his work as he contemplates his next job, which means leaving Prosper High for the Richland High campus. Frideley has been an AP for the past three years and at PHS for six. He taught social studies and special education before becoming an assistant principal.
Assistant principal focuses career on student advocacy
In a collage of photos, senior Aarushi Rana showcases her highschool memories. Rana has been on the newspaper team for two years. "Journalism has my heart," Rana said. "I have made some of my best memories in this room."

Trisha Panicker is a senior and this is her second year working for ENO, now as the Editor-in-Chief. She loves the town of Prosper and engages with the local community through her reporting. In addition, she is part of the PHS speech and debate team. In her free time, she enjoys going to coffee shops and reading.

Sahasra is a sophomore at Prosper High School. This is her first year working for Eagle Nation Online and Eagle Nation Times, and she is very excited for what’s coming next. She is a student in Musical Theatre and Choir. In her free time, Sahasra enjoys listening to music, catching up on new Netflix shows, and trying out new things.

For her second year on the Eagle Nation Online staff, sophmore Polly Greaves directs the news section as news editor. When she’s not in the goal for varsity or junior varsity water polo, she spends her time writing a new novel, playing the piano, and capturing moments on her camera. Polly looks forward to recording more episodes of her podcast, The Story Guide, and improving her photography skills throughout this year.
