  • Eagle Time this week will be for intervention only – there will be no relocations to the cafeteria today, or for the remainder of the year. Special groups will still relocate to their usual areas this week. Please confirm that the only students leaving your classrooms have a designated “special group” they have attended all year, OR have the official draft email to a teacher for will intervention.

Upcoming

  • Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors must turn in Chromebooks and chargers by the last day of school to prepare them for the upcoming year. If you attend summer school, you may keep your Chromebook and charger over the summer. Seniors turn in Chromebooks on May 15th.  If you have any questions, email technologyhomehelp@prosper-isd.net.
  • The last day for Seniors is Thursday, May 15. Senior activities and senior week will begin on Friday, May 16. Here is a link to the schedule.
  • Calling all Guy’s for FCA Guy’s Night! We will meet in the MPF at 6 p.m. May 12 & 13 for games, food, door prizes and to hear Coach Hill & Coach Devereaux speak. It will be a Great time!

Uplifting

  • Prosper Eagle Baseball beat Lake Highlands this past week to advance to 6A D1 Regional Semis. We will take on Mansfield Legacy @ (TBD)
  • Kaden Robardey and Luke Billings each hit 1 home run in game 2 against Lake Highlands to help secure an 11-4 victory.
  • ENO has two of its own staff members who participated in region I-6A UIL academics going to state, Jake Radcliffe for copy-editing, and Trisha Panicker for spelling with the spelling team. State will take place on May 19. These two have worked extra hard to make it to state. If you see them in the hallways please be sure to congratulate them.
  • Reminder that Prosper High School seniors will be hosting a ‘Senior Sunset’ on May 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Frontier Pavillion. Seniors are encouraged to wear something that represents their plans for next year.

At the UIL Banquet on May 2, seniors in UIL take a stand to be recognized. Each competition and those who competed in district and regional meets were honored, as well as those heading to state. The event was held at Children's Health Stadium at 5:30 pm.

Cheering in the hallways of PHS, freshman Ali Bray raises her poms high to the drumline's stand tunes. This send off took place on April 24 for many Prosper organizations and teams. These activities included FFA, Unified Track, Prosper Winter Guard, and many more.

Working on the final touches for their presentations, seniors Savanna Bleak and Devananda Anoop work on organizing names in folders. This is 2024-2025 PCIS final presentation for future careers. "It's very exciting for what we're doing since it's the last one," Anoop said. "It's also really nerve-racking as well getting prepared."
Eagle Brief: April 22 – 25
The Unified Track and Field Team gathers together after winning Area Championship. This group will advance to the regional meeting Tuesday, April 15, at Waco Midway High School. "This is such an amazing group of students," coach Leslie Wright said in an email about the event. "And, this is allowing for more opportunities for students to be involved in UIL sports." Eagle Brief: April 14 – 18
Passing out candy and stickers to the community are kids from Boyer Elementary at the Hope Walk Event. The event was held on March 29. The community came to walk around the Children's Health Stadium while various Hope Squad groups spread positivity and awareness for suicide prevention.
Eagle Brief: April 7 - April 11
As they hit the final pose, the senior Talonettes perform the second dance of the day alongside the team. This marked the last contest of the season. The last performance for the Talonettes will be on April 24-26 in the auditorium at 6:30 p.m.

Celebrating their graduation, seniors Nora Ryan and Ava Garretson wave at their families and friends in the bleachers. Ryan plans to attend Sam Houston State University and major in health sciences. She is most proud of being the 2025 UIL state champion in the 800-meter event in track and field.
755 seniors celebrate 2025 graduation
As graduation approaches, senior Sofia Ayala looks back on the moments throughout her time at Prosper High School. Ayala was in Prosper ISD for 11 years. "I'm so grateful to have been part of the newspaper program as well as other organizations at Prosper," Ayala said. "I'm going to miss my adviser, Mrs. Roskens, but I'm also excited for the next chapter of my life."

Giving a final farewell in her senior column, Erica Deutsch looks back on the impactful moments in her high school career. Deutsch served as the Multimedia Editor-in-Chief this year. She will attend Texas A&M in the fall.

These bills are part of a larger effort that Texas and other states have undertaken over the past few years to mitigate the harmful effects of social media, and would prohibit people under the age of 18 to have a social media account, and have popular websites and apps to require age verification. "It's more about learning how to use social media in a healthy way." Student Support Counselor Stephanie Clayton said. "Most of us could probably use better boundaries with our screen time." Texas House Bill 186 passes to restrict students online; next heads to senate
Anisha Mandem has been on staff for four years. She started as a reporter, was then editorial section editor and assistant editor, and is currently the Eagle Nation Times editor-in-chief. She will be attending The University of Texas at Austin next year as a neuroscience major. She plans to continue writing as a journalist on The Daily Texan.

A new staff member of Eagle Nation Online, freshman Eli Deutsch will be covering sports and other stories. You can find him playing baseball or hanging out with his friends. This year is Eli’s first year as apart of the Eagle nation online newspaper team. He is excited to start working on stories and articles for eagle nation online. Eli also wants to also take photos and cover sporting events for the school.

Freshman Heather Davis is a swimmer and a player on the Prosper High School swim and water polo teams. Born in Georgia, she has moved to six different places until she moved here permanently. She loves writing and journalism, as well as photography. In fact, she hopes to enter into a couple of photography contests this year. She also likes poetry, and won an Honorable Mention award at the Collin County Poetry Contest in 2023. She is excited to finally start high school, and see how she can hone her writing and photography skills this year.
