As Prosper High School wraps up the school year, seniors prepare to take the next steps in their educational careers – but before then, PHS has a special week planned for the graduating seniors starting May 16 all the way up to graduation on May 22. The schedule for the senior week activities will be listed below.
Finishing out the year with AP exams, and concluding her final fashion show senior Anvi Bansal prepares to collect her diploma, and head to the University of Texas at Austin. Bansal will be majoring in business at UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business.
“My biggest challenge for finishing my senior year was remaining motivated.” Bansal said. “By February I had already committed to a college, so school started to feel very optional, but with AP exams I knew I had to remain present and attentive if I wanted to perform well.”
Bansal said attending the University of Texas at Austin was her dream school.
“I am so excited to be heading to the University of Texas at Austin, Mccombs School of Business!” Bansal said. “I can’t wait for all the football games, activities, and events UT has to offer as well as meeting new people!”
Bansal as well as other seniors and faculty members express their excitment for class of 2025. Graduation will be held at Prosper ISD’s Children’s Health Stadium on May 22 at 7 p.m. Counselor Julie Cooper expresses her excitement for the graduating class.
“National College Decision Day is celebrated on May 1st, Cooper said. “And, PHS counselors decided to create a slideshow to celebrate our seniors and whatever their ‘NEXT’ is after high school.”
Grades lock on May 9 for all seniors, and the senior checkout form must be turned in by May 14 to receive the senior wrist band in order to attend the activities planned during senior week. This form is also required tor be submitted in order for seniors to receive their diplomas.
