Uplifting
- Volleyball qualified for State for the first time since PHS became 6A.
- Eagle Production Group went to New York City to compete in the All-American High School Film Festival- which is the largest high school film festival in the world. Over 40 countries compete. EPG came away with a major nomination- with their short film “Lift” being nominated for best animation. There were nominees from three different countries in this category. Prosper also received a nomination for a podcast- Two Girls, Double ADHD, One Braincell” by Ashlyn Strutz. so huge congrats to our students from Prosper for making a splash on the world stage.
- The Speech and Debate team traveled to Athens High School this past Friday and had a HUGE success. This is the first time in the last 4 years PHS has come home with a Sweepstakes trophy, recognizing the team’s accomplishments! If you see any of these students today, please congratulate them on their successes as we head into District season! Junior Avery Parker got 1st in Congressional Debate, sophomore Tanish Chauhan got 3rd in Congressional Debate, junior Jacob Piehl was 5th in Congressional Debate, sophomore Om Gaddad was 6th in Congressional Debate, junior Kavin Selva received 3rd in International Extemp, senior Elizabeth Gijsbertsen received 5th in International Extemp and 1st in Prose, junior Keira Yang received 1st in Original Oratory, junior Sriram Srinivas received 4th in Original Oratory, junior Katya Sri Kondragunta received 6th in Original Oratory, freshman Navya Jha received 2nd in Novice Extemp, junior Justin Wang received 3rd in Novice Extemp, freshman Gavin Hernandez received 4th in Novice Extemp, and sophomore Nainika Ronanki received 5th in Novice Extemp.
