Preparing to move into the gym, the Varsity Winter Guard stands by Wylie High School's Arena entrance. The Varsity Winter Guard performed on March 1 at 9:30 p.m. Winter Guard is on their 4th competition, with varsity having an upcoming North Texas Colorguard Association (NTCA) competition in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Caps in the air, the class of 2026 celebrates their final moments as Prosper High School students. 755 students graduated this year. "It's kind of bittersweet," senior Jerrick Jeyasee Kamaraj Christopher said. "Yes, I'm excited to graduate, but I'm going to miss the community here at Prosper. But, there's so many new opportunities that are opening up, so I'm very excited to explore all of that."
Seniors celebrate 2026 graduation
The photos display aspects of senior Trisha Panicker's life, from journalism to debate to spending time with her friends. Panicker will be double majoring in politics and journalism in college. "I want to continue the work I was doing in Prosper, from covering locals to reporting on community events and traditions," Panicker said. "The joy and purpose that this gives me will hopefully motivate my future endeavors during my time in university."
Senior Column: How journalism changed my life
Sketching at a desk, Sapphire Vasquez works on a portrait. Sapphire Vasquez is a substitute teacher for art. "I've enjoyed (the different art) a lot because everybody has a different style, everybody wants different materials," Vasquez said. "They are creating things that they love on top of the things that they probably don't enjoy as much."

Looking ahead, assistant Jimmy Frideley takes a break from his work as he contemplates his next job, which means leaving Prosper High for the Richland High campus. Frideley has been an AP for the past three years and at PHS for six. He taught social studies and special education before becoming an assistant principal.
Assistant principal focuses career on student advocacy
In a collage of photos, senior Aarushi Rana showcases her highschool memories. Rana has been on the newspaper team for two years. "Journalism has my heart," Rana said. "I have made some of my best memories in this room."

Blue and red lights flashing, a fire truck leaves in the middle of the ceremony to respond to a nearby emergency. The alarm sounded and the ceiling monitors flashed, notifying firefighter paramedics who left instantly. Later, the fire truck came back and attendees pushed it back into the station as a tradition, symbolizing the final step of the ceremony.

Walking the track, student council officers lead the "Survivors Walk." Prosper High School hosts the Relay for Life fundraiser annually during the month of April. Over 10 clubs host stalls with fun activities for attendees.

Looking ahead, the PHS archery team stands posing for a picture. The team attended the State Competition in March, coming home with many personal bests. They will compete at Nationals in April.

Arms open, sophomore Polly Greaves stands in the ocean of Maui, Hawaii. She visited her grandma on a girls' trip with her mom and attended a luau. “The best part was the whales,” Greaves said. “From the beach, you could see them breaching. It was magical.”
Staffers take part in spring break activities
Huddling together before a mini game, freshmen Connor Chastain, Mason Yoo-Tritt and sophomore Andrew Hoye converse with the youth participants. All three are members of the JV baseball team. "I think the event went really well, it was a good turnout, and I think the kids had a good time and that's what it's all about," Cooper Duncan, junior, JV baseball team member said. "I'm most excited to get going, being around my teammates and having a good season."
Dugout Dudes event brings youth, high school players together
Walking around the stage, freshman Ariana Nasery holds the microphone with one hand and looks out to the crowd. Napery performed "Mr. Electric," according to the 2026 setlist. There were 12 solo performances out of the 20 total.

Senior Victoria Byers leads social media posts for Instagram, X (formally known as ‘Twitter’) and Facebook.  This is her second year as a staff member, and she normally reports football games as a Mighty Eagle Band member. As she continues to find more and more creative tasks, clubs and electives, she gets to finalize and lead in band, two clubs, along with joining three new organizations.
