Cross country heads to state, volleyball advances to playoffs, football defeats Allen

As the ball rolls toward his glove, senior Cole Giametta warms up for the game against Allen High School. The Prosper Eagles won the first game on Tuesday April 16. The game took place at Prosper High School at 7:30 p.m.

Baseball takes first district loss, 0-1

Eyes on the ball, freshman Samantha Tovar tries to block out the opponent. The Eagles end the season and make school history as they achieved their 1-0 win against Westlake during state finals. Along with this win, the Eagles are ranked no. 1 in state.

Lady Eagles kick their way into 1st state championship

About to land, senior Nathan Tenbarge competes in the long jump event. Tenbarge played quarterback for the football team during track off-season. He placed sixth in his event.

Track takes runner-up in district, advances to area meet

As he prepares for the game, senior Caden Berg helps out teammate junior Lucas Tauzin with his captain arm band. This is the first playoff game of the season. This season has been very different to other seasons through out mentality and chemistry. Our team comes in to every game fired up and ready to go, Berg said. Last season we came into playoffs thinking we won something already and ended up losing, This season we knew what we had to do and we went out there and did it.

Boy’s soccer team wins first playoff game, advances to next round

Shaking hands with the diving coach, sophomore Pierce McHam received the Best Diver Award. Some teammates recieved awards for their performance throughout the year as a player and as a teammate. The banquet took place in the community room at Childrens Health Stadium.

Swim and Dive team celebrates end – of – season banquet

Glove face-front, senior Aiden White eyes home plate waiting to start the play. White played as a starting pitcher for the first game against Rock Hill. The matchup occurred at Rock Hill High School on Tuesday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Baseball remains undefeated in districts, beats Rock Hill

Stick extended junior David Androes hustles back on defense. Androes was awarded the WE award after the game. This award is given out to one player after each game, and represents the hard work put in by players and coaches to show the values of Prosper lacrosse.

Boys lacrosse secures win over Dripping Springs

Pulling 315 pounds, senior Juliana Cruz sets a new high school record for the 114 weight class. Im grateful for the team I chose to be on and the coaches that invested in me, even through my crybaby moments, Cruz said. The Lady Eagle Powerlifting team will always be unforgettable. Column: Senior reflects on moments with girls powerlifting team

Hand raised, junior Kaden Kado Robardey celebrates a double run for the eagles. Due to assistance from teammate Erick Thompson, Robardey scored one of two runs during the first inning. Robardey played as one of the starting outfielders for the Eagles.

Baseball slides into second win of the district season

After the win against Allen, students, players and fans gather around head coach Schmidt. The game was played on Friday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. at Children’s Health Stadium. The final score was 28-23.

Varsity boy’s basketball will compete in a scrimmage against The Colony and Frisco Centennial away at J.J. Pearce, Saturday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m.
Varsity boy’s basketball will compete in a scrimmage against Sachse at home, Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 5 p.m.
Varsity women’s basketball will play a game, Friday, Nov. 5, at 5:30 p.m. away against Wylie at Wylie High School.
Varsity women’s basketball will play a game, Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 6:30 p.m. home against Frisco Memorial.
Varsity wrestling will have their team trials at home, Saturday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m.

Varsity volleyball won against Flower Mound in the first round of the playoffs, 3-1, Tuesday, Nov. 2.
Varsity football won against Allen, 28-23, Friday, Oct. 29.
Varsity golf competed in the Southlake Carroll 4 Ball Day, Friday, Oct. 29 and Saturday, Oct. 30 at Tangle Ridge Golf Club, and girls and boys both finished sixth.
Varsity women’s golf competed in the Denton Guyer-Fall District Preview at Lantana Golf Club, Monday, Nov. 1 and finished third.
Men’s Varsity II golf’s Plano ISD Tournament Series, Wednesday, Nov. 3 was canceled.
