Mums, garters highlight Texas Homecoming tradition

Featuring a purple ribbon, a mum sits alone. The purple ribbon serves as a tribute to senior varsity cheerleader Makayla Noble. Noble recently had spinal surgery after a mishap tumbling accident.

Mums, a Texas Homecoming tradition, are worn like a necklace or pinned on the left side of a top. Boys often wear garters, which go around the arm.

Homecoming pep rally honors varsity cheerleader
Flags ready, color guard members make their way down the street. Lindsay Kusmierczak leads the group. At the community pep rally, following the parade, the color guard gave a performance for the community.
Return of parade provides homecoming celebration
At the 2019 Homecoming pep rally, the band and colorguard stand for the school song. This year Homecoming will occur on the week of Sept. 20-24. The Homecoming dance will occur Saturday, Sept. 25.
