Senior sunrise brings students together
The endzone screen at the PISD Children’s Health Stadium displays a sign celebrating the annual senior sunrise event. Seniors gathered early in the morning on Aug. 11 to watch the sunrise and start of the school year. “Senior sunrise was a fun thing to go to before school started,” senior Lauren Haullauer said. “I got to see all my friends, and it was a great way to end the summer.”
Seniors wait in line in their cars to get treats provided by teachers before watching the sunrise. "It was really fun to see friends that are going to Rock Hill before we all split for the year, and the sunrise was very pretty," senior Izzy Baty said. Izzy is a member of the sports medicine program and hopes to continue to participate in it despite the recent pandemic limitations.
