Light shines over buildings in Prosper acting as a beacon of hope for those in isolation. It has been six weeks since PISD began its social distancing. Despite not being able to go outside very often I always love when the sun comes out, it makes me feel a little less isolated, student Christi Norris said.

Sophomore Meghan Gordons mom, Jennifer works from home. Students and parents have found spaces throughout their living spaces to complete both school and business responsibilities. After Dallas county authorized a “shut-down” on all “non-essential businesses,” employers were forced to close their doors and send employees home. Those who now work at home are faced with the task of setting up a workspace and continuing business as usual. The essential materials for e-learning rest on a students desk. During this time, students have to find innovative ways to ensure that they maintain as much of an impact in learning through online school as they would in a regular setting. The district has been working online with students since March 18. Sophomore Jessica Hampton and Freshman Sean Rich, set up their shots and aim for their targets. Both archery teams practice two nights a week in preparation for upcoming tournaments. I like how it is a sport anyone can do, Hampton said.

During the beginning of the third round at 10 meters, junior Ethan Doucet aims and draws his arrow in an effort to score a bullseye. Archery team member and photojournalist Julia John captured this moment Tuesday, Feb. 25. Archery is mostly a mental thing, junior Emily Reish said. We have to think of many things before releasing the arrow.

The library sits in silence during second period when only a few students are inside getting books and studying.The Prosper High School library has 15,065 books on its shelves for Prospers students to enjoy. ...there is value to reading whatever a kid wants to read regardless of a books literary merit or accolades. Reading builds vocabulary, critical thinking skills, and improves writing, AP English IV teacher Kristin Beckham said.
