What’s next: The junior varsity and varsity Eagles will scrimmage Coppell Friday, Dec. 19. JV starts at 4:15 p.m. Varsity will take the pitch at 6 p.m. The matches will take place at Coppell High School.

Caps in the air, the class of 2026 celebrates their final moments as Prosper High School students. 755 students graduated this year. "It's kind of bittersweet," senior Jerrick Jeyasee Kamaraj Christopher said. "Yes, I'm excited to graduate, but I'm going to miss the community here at Prosper. But, there's so many new opportunities that are opening up, so I'm very excited to explore all of that."
Seniors celebrate 2026 graduation
Blue and red lights flashing, a fire truck leaves in the middle of the ceremony to respond to a nearby emergency. The alarm sounded and the ceiling monitors flashed, notifying firefighter paramedics who left instantly. Later, the fire truck came back and attendees pushed it back into the station as a tradition, symbolizing the final step of the ceremony.

Huddling together before a mini game, freshmen Connor Chastain, Mason Yoo-Tritt and sophomore Andrew Hoye converse with the youth participants. All three are members of the JV baseball team. "I think the event went really well, it was a good turnout, and I think the kids had a good time and that's what it's all about," Cooper Duncan, junior, JV baseball team member said. "I'm most excited to get going, being around my teammates and having a good season."
Dugout Dudes event brings youth, high school players together
Walking around the stage, freshman Ariana Nasery holds the microphone with one hand and looks out to the crowd. Napery performed "Mr. Electric," according to the 2026 setlist. There were 12 solo performances out of the 20 total.
Harmony in every voice
Fists in the air, sophomore Ayden Holman showcases her stunt. It was announced that Holman was a JV Game Girl of the Week on Oct. 25, 2025. Along with being on the cheer team, Holman participates in powerlifting, placing fourth in her latest meet two weeks ago.

Before kickoff on Thursday, Jan. 22, the soccer team held a senior night recognition. Senior players were acknowledged for their time with the program. They gathered on the field for a group photo as part of the pregame ceremony.

The photos display aspects of senior Trisha Panicker's life, from journalism to debate to spending time with her friends. Panicker will be double majoring in politics and journalism in college. "I want to continue the work I was doing in Prosper, from covering locals to reporting on community events and traditions," Panicker said. "The joy and purpose that this gives me will hopefully motivate my future endeavors during my time in university."
Senior Column: How journalism changed my life
Sketching at a desk, Sapphire Vasquez works on a portrait. Sapphire Vasquez is a substitute teacher for art. "I've enjoyed (the different art) a lot because everybody has a different style, everybody wants different materials," Vasquez said. "They are creating things that they love on top of the things that they probably don't enjoy as much."

Beaming ahead, assistant Jimmy Frideley takes a break from his work. Frideley has been an AP for the past three years and at PHS for six. He taught social studies and special education before becoming an assistant principal.
Assistant principal focuses career on student advocacy
In a collage of photos, senior Aarushi Rana showcases her highschool memories. Rana has been on the newspaper team for two years. "Journalism has my heart," Rana said. "I have made some of my best memories in this room."

Walking the track, student council officers lead the "Survivors Walk." Prosper High School hosts the Relay for Life fundraiser annually during the month of April. Over 10 clubs host stalls with fun activities for attendees.

Looking ahead, the PHS archery team stands posing for a picture. The team attended the State Competition in March, coming home with many personal bests. They will compete at Nationals in April.

Arms open, sophomore Polly Greaves stands in the ocean of Maui, Hawaii. She visited her grandma on a girls' trip with her mom and attended a luau. “The best part was the whales,” Greaves said. “From the beach, you could see them breaching. It was magical.”
Staffers take part in spring break activities
Motioning toward the audience, junior Violet Bozik sings with her co-star junior Cash Kretz. Bozik plays the Baker's Wife and Kretz plays the Baker in the show. "Preparing for the role of Baker's Wife has been a road of self discovery," Bozik said. "Whether it be testing my limits as a performer, or pushing myself to bring a level of stage presence I haven't yet, I can confidently say I've left this show with a new found confidence and appreciation for the process."

Together for an embrace, junior Peyton Butler and Head Band Director Aaron Rezenbrink hug after Butler's words were read. Butler honored Rezenbrink for helping him become a better marcher and musician. "I felt really good about being able to honor the teachers who have made commitments today," Butler said. "It was really nice."
Juniors celebrate educators at mini ceremony
The Prosper Christmas Festival draws a crowd to its warm lights. The event offered different vendors and artisans, who sold goods from freeze-dried candy to hand-knitted blankets. "I enjoyed the amount of activities and the different people who were being welcoming," Caitlyn Okonkwo said, "and making it very enjoyable."

Michelle Ayala leads the sports section as the sports editor. This is her second year working for Eagle Nation online. As a sophomore at Prosper High School and originally from Frisco, Texas, she enjoys playing golf and pickleball, working out, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. She has earned the best of SNO for her feature article, “Senior overcomes injury, dives in to help water polo team,” and looks forward to improving her photography and writing skills while covering the athletes and games.

Elise Leavitt is a sophomore at Prosper High School. This is her first year on ENO staff, and she is excited to take the role of a reporter. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, baking for others and hanging out with her friends. She looks forward to her first year on ENO and improving her photography and journalism skills. She wants to learn more about writing through working for Eagle Nation Online.
