In the last episode this year of the book review podcast, ‘The Story Guide,’ co-hosts and freshmen Heather Davis and Polly Greaves discuss the new science fiction book Davis chose to review: ‘The Loop’ by Ben Oliver. They will be joined by guest star Zachary Davis to debate the pros and cons of the book. This is the last episode they will review before Heather Davis goes to Richland High School and Polly Greaves stays at PHS. They will then call each other from across the town to keep reviewing books next year.

This past weekend, the Prosper FRC Robotics teams 5411 RoboTalons traveled to Plano, TX to compete against 28 other teams. For the past nine weeks, the Talons worked through the entire engineering process to create an advanced control system from scratch.

As graduation approaches, senior Sofia Ayala looks back on the moments throughout her time at Prosper High School. Ayala was in Prosper ISD for 11 years. "I'm so grateful to have been part of the newspaper program as well as other organizations at Prosper," Ayala said. "I'm going to miss my adviser, Mrs. Roskens, but I'm also excited for the next chapter of my life."

"It's more about learning how to use social media in a healthy way." Student Support Counselor Stephanie Clayton said. "Most of us could probably use better boundaries with our screen time." Texas House Bill 186 passes to restrict students online; next heads to senate
Anisha Mandem has been on staff for four years. She started as a reporter, was then editorial section editor and assistant editor, and is currently the Eagle Nation Times editor-in-chief. She will be attending The University of Texas at Austin next year as a neuroscience major. She plans to continue writing as a journalist on The Daily Texan.

Heather Davis, Reporter
Freshman Heather Davis is a swimmer and a player on the Prosper High School swim and water polo teams. Born in Georgia, she has moved to six different places until she moved here permanently. She loves writing and journalism, as well as photography. In fact, she hopes to enter into a couple of photography contests this year. She also likes poetry, and won an Honorable Mention award at the Collin County Poetry Contest in 2023. She is excited to finally start high school, and see how she can hone her writing and photography skills this year.

Polly Greaves, Reporter
Born in Lenham, England, freshman Polly Greaves has called 14 other places home and recently arrived in Prosper, Texas, ready to dive into the pool and pursue water polo. During the day, you can find her writing a new book, practicing her Spanish or playing the piano. Polly is stoked to start her first year of high school. She is looking forward to the variety of courses offered at Prosper high school, to give her more opportunities to follow her passions and interests.
