Crowding together, players on the varsity baseball team speak to each other in between innings. In this game, there were 14 innings since it was a scrimmage. “I’ve been playing baseball since 5th grade,” varsity player (add grade) Alejandro ‘AJ’ Sanabria said. “I like how competitive it is.”

  • The next senior lunch will be on March 14
  • The HOSA team traveled to Tyler this weekend and did a great job representing PHS.  Area 3 is the largest area for Texas, and the team had major competition.  Two of Prosper’s 14 competitors placed and are going to state.
    Geethika Ramesh placed 3rd in Biotechnology, Ayaan Mohammed placed 1st in Medical Terminology and Arthi Arunprasad placed 5th in Medical Art Poster. Please congratulate them if you see them around.
  • Over the weekend, SkillsUSA traveled to Texas State Technical College in Waco for the District 5 Leadership and Skills Conference. A total of 70 students from WGHS and PHS participated, with 59 competing in person and 11 submitting exhibit projects. Of those, 33 students are advancing to the state competition! If you see them, be sure to congratulate them on their outstanding achievement!
  • This past weekend there was an amazing showing by some of very talented swimmers and divers at the state meet. Listed below are the results of the athletes and how they performed.

    • Girls placed 19th overall in the State

    • Georgia Wimberly 10th in the 200 yard Free, 4th in the 500 yard Free

    • Addison Johnson 17th in the 50 yard Free

    • Georgia Wimberly, Kensie Albrecht, Addison Johnson, Ava Goodwill 17th in the Medley Relay

    • Johnson, Wimberly, Albrecht, Goodwill 11th in the 400 Free Relay New School Record

    • Pierce McHam 21st in  the 1mtr Dive

    • Emerson Powers 24th in the 1mtr Dive

Waves rolling, sophomore Elizabeth Cohorn relaxes on the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama during spring break. This was her first time going. "I had a great time in Gulf Shores," Cohorn said. "It was very peaceful, and it was nice reading a book while hearing the ocean waves."
Eagle Brief: March 24 – 28
Eyes ahead, freshman Alysson Nwabueze approaches the finish line. The 800-meter run began at 1 p.m. The event was held at the Prosper High School Track and Field.

After competing at their last regional contest of the season, the Prosper High School Talonettes finished 1st overall for the entire competition. The Talonettes got first place for all of their 12 routines. Their last competition is March 28 & 29 where they will compete at Nationals.

As students cheer, the Prosper wrestling team gets recognized before they head off to the state meet. The team competed over the weekend. Senior Jack Ringger took first runner up in the state meet.
Eagle Brief: Feb. 18 – 21
Under the lights, Isaiah Johnson returns to one of Trisha Weyenberg's classes since he graduated in 2017. He lives in Kansas City for his job and travels around the country to speak in classrooms. "Don't listen to people, because you can make money and be happy," Romeo said. "And, I could be an example of that. I do what I love." Another seperate article is coming out on Isaiah soon.

Arm extended, principal Nicholas Jones welcomes students to the 'Space Jam' pep rally. This was the last pep rally of the year. The event took place in the PHS Arena during advisory.

As world conflicts and natural disaster worsen, juniors Trisha Panicker and Aarushi Rana dissect the news events from Sept. 23 to Feb. 14 to help prepare competitors in the Current Events & Issues UIL event. The districts tournament is coming up on Saturday. "The world's tallest woman Rumeysa Gelgi meets the world's shortest, Jyoti Amge," said Rana. "I actually heard about this news on social media."

Freshman navigates drill team, Hope Squad, academics
Smiling in front of the words "Hakuna Matata", which depicts the Hope Week theme this year, Hope Squad members, sophomores Ella Mattox and Antonella Sposito and freshmen Owen Christiansen and Dylan Agbetuyi volunteer at the Hope Squad booth. Yesterday, sugar cookies prepared by culinary students were sold at all the lunches for two dollars. "I joined (Hope Squad) because it provides an opportunity to help other people," Christiansen said. "And just because it's being surrounded by other nice people."

ENN Season 12 Episode 29
As senior Kendall Simms holds the girls golf team's first place district plaque, senior Sophia Duque, sophomore London Pearson, Principal Nick Jones, sophomore Tatum Churchman and junior Erica Lee come together. The team will compete at the Golf Regionals Tournament April 14-17. "It was a very intense day," golf coach Tyler Pearson said. "The girls handled the emotions and pressure unbelievably well."

Michelle Ayala can be found cheering on her dance team, as well as attending all kinds of school events. She is a freshman at Prosper High School. This is her first year on staff as a reporter. She is originally from Frisco, Texas. During her free time, Michelle spends time dancing on the Eaglettes JV drill team. She also has received an award from Best of SNO on her “Senior overcomes injury, dives in to help water polo team” feature article. She also loves going on runs, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. During her time on the newspaper she hopes to improve her photography skills, and writing.

Sophomore Kate Duncan spends her free time creating, whether it’s a clay pot or a news article. Her passion for creativity led her to join the team, where she is excited to be able to bring new stories to light. This is her first year working on Eagle Nation Online as a reporter. When she isn’t in school, Kate enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and making collages in her journal.
