Crowding together, players on the varsity baseball team speak to each other in between innings. In this game, there were 14 innings since it was a scrimmage. "I've been playing baseball since 5th grade," varsity player (add grade) Alejandro 'AJ' Sanabria said. "I like how competitive it is."

Over the weekend, SkillsUSA traveled to Texas State Technical College in Waco for the District 5 Leadership and Skills Conference. A total of 70 students from WGHS and PHS participated, with 59 competing in person and 11 submitting exhibit projects. Of those, 33 students are advancing to the state competition! If you see them, be sure to congratulate them on their outstanding achievement!
