With an influx of mass deportations and Australian wildfires, juniors Trisha Panicker and Aarushi Rana analyze how the toll of these events. “Controversy has been sparked by this issue (mass deportations) with as many as 18 states, including California, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, filing lawsuits claiming the order violates the U.S. Constitution,” Panicker said. “The wait is until Feb. 6 to decide if this is permanent or not.”

What’s up our current eventers! This is the fifth weekly world wrap up with Trisha and Aarushi covering Jan. 17 to Jan. 26. In this episode, juniors Trisha and Aarushi discuss the Eurozone, Australian wildfires, the U.S. labor market, President Trump’s executive order to end birthright citizenship, a San Antonio officer shooting, ICE raids, a Longhorn victory in college basketball, the first dog parkour championship in Los Angeles, and finally, a giant taco food sculpture in San Antonio.

As he pins a dress, senior Garret Gray prepares an entry for a design competition. Tiffany Sanchez leads the Fashion Design classes at PHS. "This is our first time FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) has competed in quite some time, if ever," Sanchez said. "Next, state competition is April 11-13." In this program, four students ended up advancing to state.

"My favorite thing about the Unified Track is the competition and how everyone gets hyped about it," York said. "We get to bond more with the kids, from just partners, you're kind of helping them, but this you get to participate too, and it's just a fun environment."

Gathered around the plant station are Lee Ryder's AP Human Geography students. The students began an agricultural project where they grew their own plant and learned to care for it. The project officially ended last week, and students will get to take their plants home for spring break.
'Green thumb' for agriculture
Knife in hand, culinary teacher Sonja Kabell slices an orange in preparation for the culinary arts program's next catering event. Alongside Kabell, sophomores Katia Ramos, Morgan Sweat, Jiyoon Lee and Christian Lee assist in the process. “Our catering company, Eagle Eatery, is essentially student-run," Kabell said. "They’re making everything from scratch, from fruit kabobs to hashbrowns, and they handle service directly. It’s a professional-level experience.”
Teacher 'serves' life lessons
As she holds on to the pole, junior Kate Pemberton sets up the pole vault event for the next contestant. This is her third year in the track program. The pole vault event began at 9 a.m.

Trisha Panicker is a junior and this is her first year as a reporter for ENO. She takes interest in politics and current events and hopes to express this through her writing. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her dog, Rusty, and playing the viola.
Aarushi Rana
Aarushi Rana, Reporter
Aarushi Rana, originally from Connecticut, is a junior at Prosper High School. This is her first year on Eagle Nation Online and she serves as a reporter. In her free time, she enjoys painting, reading and watching movies. Through ENO, she hopes to enhance her literature skills.
Yousuf Ali
Yousuf Ali, Graphic Designer
In his first year working with Eagle Nation Times and Eagle Nation Online, Yousuf Ali is a junior, and this marks his his third year as a graphic design student. He aims to sharpen his skills not only in design, but as a member of a team and help those around him improve too. Outside of school Yousuf, likes to draw, play sports and video games and binge watch tv shows.
