Lee is the only senior girl on the varsity team, and has been playing water polo for four years. “I am eternally grateful for the experiences and memories Prosper Water Polo has given me,” Lee said, “And I will carry them with me throughout my life.”
Varsity water polo prepares for rematch
Moments before the ball is snapped, Prosper's offensive line sets up on the line of scrimmage. This offensive line includes senior Logan Cahill who is committed to play Division I football at Sam Houston State University. "My biggest take away from the game was that as a team we have the capability to be great," Cahill said. "I believe and I am all in for this team working and bonding together through the thick and thin. We need to stay locked in this season on both sides of the ball."
Football secures win in home opener
Huddled up, the Prosper tennis team "sets their spirit" for the game. The Eagles played against the Independence Knights. The game carried singles, doubles and mix doubles tournament.

Huddled up on the court, seniors No. 10 Zahara Johnson, No. 11 Camila Cox, no. 10 Hannah Beauford, No.20 Sophie Bridges, No. 9 junior Emma Viars and No. 2 Keely Harrington come together after losing the point. "Volleyball is important to me because before I step on the court for every game I know I get to represent Prosper," Cox said. "This is something we take a lot of pride in."
Lady Eagles 'set' their season with sweep
Caps in the air, senior Kaya Miller, center, celebrates the conclusion of the May 23 morning ceremony. PHS graduates, all 823, had their own favorite memories to share following the festivities, which had originally been scheduled for the evening prior, but inclement weather required a change. “My last football game season was definitely memorable. I always went with my three friends and we would make a whole tradition out of it,” Miller said. “We would get ready, go to the game and then go to either dinner at Texas Roadhouse or In-n-Out.”

From plays to podcasts
Principal Nick Jones enforced cellphone rules during his first year as PHS principal in 2022. Students are not allowed to use these devices during instructional periods unless they have accommodations. "The states that have already banned phones needed to purchase areas to hold cell phones," Jones said. "The two main types are large cell phone lockers where students place their cell phone in during the day or individual magnetic cell phone pouches that students use during the school day."

After waking up, freshman Kaden Wortham finds damage to his family's backyard. A large storm swept through North Texas yesterday morning. "We (my family) kind of all were just walking around doing our morning routines, and we spotted one of our umbrellas was tipped over," freshman Kaden Wortham said. "Behind it, our tables and lots of our outdoor furniture were knocked over."

Brush in hand, a Prosper High School student council member paints a poster saying 'Fight Eagles Fight'. The group met on Sept. 10 at 4:30 to create the signs for homecoming week. Homecoming week for PHS lasted from Sept. 16 through Sept. 21.

This is Sepper's third year in the band and her second year on the dance team. "There are going to be hard things in life and you're not going to be able to do everything all the time. Just communicate," Sepper said. "The most rewarding part is inspiring others.

"We just went out there and do what we do," Latiolais said. "Defense and offense went out there and did their job so we played a great game and it showed."

Varsity Volleyball prepares for today's game against Plano Senior High, look back at previous game
Arms out, senior Tayvin Labbe tackles a Rockwall–Heath ball carrier. Labbe was a captain for this game where Prosper defeated Rockwall Heath 49 to 18. "I was really proud of how well as a defense we were able to adapt and adjust to their offense," Labbe said. "All week we were trying to prepare for something we wouldn’t be able to see and I think Friday night we executed and were able to read and react very well."

Breaking through their defense, junior Brady Harris gets through Westlake players to help his team in the fourth quarter. In the last few minutes, even when the team was losing, Prosper was able to push through. Prosper ended up with a loss 35-14.

Power washing tool in hand, senior Eli Heintz cleans a sidewalk. Heintz has owned his business Rapid Renew Exterior Cleaning for over one year. Rapid Renew offers services such as power washing, window cleaning and driveway cleaning.

Coming from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Isabel Multer is a senior at Prosper High School entering her third year on Eagle Nation Online. Isabel is also the Producer for Prosper High School's broadcast program, Eagle Nation News and outside of school she loves spending time with friends and family. A new staff member of Eagle Nation Online, freshman Eli Deutsch will be covering sports and other stories. You can find him playing baseball or hanging out with his friends. This year is Eli's first year as apart of the Eagle nation online newspaper team. He is excited to start working on stories and articles for eagle nation online. Eli also wants to also take photos and cover sporting events for the school.

Born in Lenham, England, freshman Polly Greaves has called 14 other places home and recently arrived in Prosper, Texas, ready to dive into the pool and pursue water polo. During the day, you can find her writing a new book, practicing her Spanish or playing the piano. Polly is stoked to start her first year of high school. She is looking forward to the variety of courses offered at Prosper high school, to give her more opportunities to follow her passions and interests.

Heather Davis, Reporter
Freshman Heather Davis is a swimmer and a player on the Prosper High School swim and water polo teams. Born in Georgia, she has moved to six different places until she moved here permanently. She loves writing and journalism, as well as photography. In fact, she hopes to enter into a couple of photography contests this year. She also likes poetry, and won an Honorable Mention award at the Collin County Poetry Contest in 2023. She is excited to finally start high school, and see how she can hone her writing and photography skills this year.
