Football to face McKinney at home, tennis heads to playoffs

- Varsity football will play a district game at home against McKinney Friday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. at Children’s Health Stadium.
- Varsity volleyball will play against Denton Braswell away Friday, Oct. 8, at 5:30 p.m. at Denton Braswell High School.

- Varsity volleyball won against Little Elm 3-0 at Little Elm High School Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 6:30 p.m.
- Varsity swim and dive competed in a meet against Frisco Memorial High School at home at the Prosper ISD Natatorium Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m.
- Varsity boy’s golf competed in the LHS Farmer Fall Fest tournament away at Indian Creek Golf Club, Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 8 a.m.
- Varsity tennis faced Little Elm in the district quarterfinals and beat them 10-0- Monday, Oct. 4 at home.
- Varsity tennis faced McKinney Boyd in the district semifinals and beat them 10-2 on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at home.
- Varsity tennis faced Allen in the district finals and lost 1-10 on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at Allen High School.
Highlights
- Varsity tennis is going to the playoffs after finishing their regular season as District 5-6A District Runner-Up.
- Varsity volleyball is ranked third in the 6A Region I 5 District, according to MaxPreps, going up one from last week.
- Varsity swim and dive had their first meet of the season.
- Varsity volleyball had a program sweep where all teams won.
- National Coaches Day was Wednesday, Oct. 6.
- Cross country’s Aubrey O’Connell verbally committed to run colligate track at Oklahoma State University.
