School honors National Suicide Prevention Week, holds USA Pep Rally

Walking down the hall, senior varsity cheerleader Kallie Knight cheers in the send-off. The send-off occured in place of the Hawaiian pep rally Thursday, Aug. 2. The cheerleaders wore yellow shirts and leis for the spirit day.

Eagle Update

The school has updated morning drop-off procedures. The changes in procedures include:

  • Northbound traffic only in front of the MPS/Athletic Building
  • Those entering from Frontier Road to drop off a student in front of the MPS/Athletic Building must turn right at the covered stop sign, make a left down one of the lanes, drive toward the arena, turn left, and turn left again.
  • Those entering from Coleman can’t continue to the front fo the MPF/Learning Cottages/Tennis area. They can drop students off on the sidewalk next to the practice field or at the arena entrance. After, they can exit back onto Coleman.

Upcoming

  • There is no school on Monday, Sept. 6
  • Varsity volleyball will play Sachse Tuesday, Sept. 7, away at 6:30 p.m.
  • The USA Pep Rally will occur Friday, Sept. 10.
  • Varsity volleyball will play Little Elm Friday, Sept. 10, at 5:30 p.m.
  • Varsity football will play Southlake Carroll home Friday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m.
  • Seniors have senior lunch on Friday, Sept. 10.

This week is National Suicide Prevention week. Every day is a different dress up day:

  • Tuesday: Jersey Day
  • Wednesday: Wear Yellow
  • Thursday: Music Day
  • Friday: Red White & Blue Day
