Book Summary

Lexi Grayson appears to have it all. She is beautiful, friends with every guy on the football team, popular and has caught the attention of the most gorgeous boy in school, Blake Eaton.

But no one annoys Lexi more than Blake Eaton. He has a bad reputation for being a player. Every girl wants Blake. His foreign accent, lean build, messy brown hair and dark mysterious eyes has all of the girls crushing on him. Well except for Lexi; she just finds his perfection aggravating.

Blake’s confidence and flirtatious personality pushes Lexi’s buttons like no other. But, their constant fights and teasing reminds Lexi of her old fun self, and she likes that.

Their relationship is sparked by a bet. If Lexi helps Blake with schoolwork, then she can have any vinyl from his collection.

As much as Lexi does not want to be around Blake for longer than she has to, she loves vinyls more than she hates Blake, so she agrees to it.

The more time Lexi spends with Blake has her thinking he may not be the guy she has always made him out to be.  Maybe the one person Lexi Grayson could not stand to be around, is the one person she can’t live without.

Personal Opinion

I have read many books, but I Sold Myself to the Devil for Vinyls Pitiful I know, is by far my favorite one.

The storyline seems typical, but it is not. This book took me by surprise with every chapter I read. The chapters and plot change so much throughout the story and it kept me wanting to know more.

The characters in this book are my dream characters. First, you have the amazing Lexi Grayson narrating the story. I loved her because she had such a realistic thought process and her thoughts never failed to make me laugh. She overthought everything which got frustrating at times, but it also made things interesting. Having the story from her point of view is a huge part of why I loved this book. She has a really entertaining personality and makes the most out of every situation. But, Lexi also has a much deeper side to her, that Blake Eaton quickly discovers.

Every reader that reads this book will fall in love with Blake Eaton. You are going to want your own Blake at the end of the story, trust me.

I remember reading this book for the first time and not really knowing what to think of Blake. Sure, he was described as extremely handsome, but his true self takes awhile to be shown. One thing I loved about Blake was how he always had something funny or sarcastic to say. He never failed to make me laugh, and any time Blake was in the chapter, I was always smiling.

Lexi and Blake’s relationship takes so much time to build and I really love that because it makes the relationship seem so much more real. After reading this book, I cannot read books where relationships progress super quickly because it doesn’t feel as real as Lexi and Blake’s.

There is so much I want to say about this book, but I can’t give too much away. I loved this book and I hope you all love it too.

I Sold Myself to the Devil for Vinyls Pitiful I know is not a published book. It can be read for free on an app called Wattpad. It has over 2 million reads and has won many awards.
