The Rice MUN competition took place from Friday, March 22 to Sunday, March 24. More than 300 delegates participated in the conference, which took place on the Rice University Campus in Houston. In order from left to right, these students participated: junior Oluwafikayomi Ogunnoiki, junior Everlyn Omandi, junior Katya Kondragunta, sophomore Shivani Sathish, sophomore Trisha Panicker and junior Anisha Mandem.

Before the DECA award ceremony, seniors Keeley Dailey, Architha Yerragunta, Kaya Miller and Rithika Chakrapani are dressed professionally. The DECA state competition was held in Houston Feb. 15-17. Six students qualified for the international competition.

Presenting to members of Model UN, president of the club, sophomore Anisha Mandem teaches about conferences. The group held this first meeting of the year Aug. 29. I started Model UN because Ive always had an interest in world affairs and political issues, Mandem said. And, I thought it would be fun to get other students who were also interested in the same issues in a club together.
