Jumping to make his serve, sophomore player Ridge Daniels hits the tennis ball above his head. This is his first year on varsity, and he currently plays mixed doubles with junior Mia Camilleri. I think I played well in the match against Braswell, Daniels said. I just went out and played my game with confidence and stayed relaxed.

After rushing the net, senior Lauren Hallauer hits a backhand volley. Hallauer played doubles with junior Rebecca Gutierrez. The doubles team beat Denton Braswell 6-2, 6-2.

As he runs for the ball, senior Jett Anderson attempts to hit a one-handed backhand. Anderson has been on varsity since he was a freshman and plays in the No. 1 singles and doubles positions this year. I thought we played well, but we could have played better, Anderson said. We are now preparing to play McKinney and get back into form.
