Nicole Miguez

Nicole Miguez, Graphic Designer

Nicole Miguez is a 17-year-old student, writer and artist. She grew up homeschooled in Addison, Texas, until August of 2017 when she moved to Prosper. Nicole has always been an animal enthusiast. She currently owns multiple exotic pets, specifically two different types of geckos and an axolotl. When she isn't caring for her animals, she enjoys spending her time writing books or crying over the latest episode of whatever TV show she's fixated on for the week. She is dedicating her life to becoming an animator for Disney Animation Studios.

Former varsity football coach Jess Loepp, who took a position this semester as an offensive analyst for the Arkansas Razorbacks, instructs sophomores on what to do in his physical education class. On Nov. 4, the students had to run multiple laps in a certain time limit around the high school practice field. Coach Loepp departed Prosper High School, leaving his regards and gratitude. “If you don’t make it,” Loepp said. “Oh well, keep running.”

Members of the Eagle Production Group filmed the performance in the Eagle Nation News studio on Thursday, Feb. 21. My favorite part of teaching this class is bringing artists in, EPG adviser Michael Logan said. I get to share my love of music and videos with the class.

With fewer than 20 remaining in the wild, the vaquita porpoise is now the most endangered marine mammal on Earth. The vaquita became a critically endangered species as of 1995. Blakely Spears, Jacob Tejada, Shannon Kuria and Emily Whitmire take time together in the photo booth at the Best Buddies Match Party in October. One of the newest organizations at the school is Best Buddies, which is a group focused on creating friendships for students with disabilities. The group is open to all high school students. I hope students come with an open heart and an open mind, Gomez said. Be willing to take the time to form friendships.

An axolotl swims in a tank in the home of senior columnist Nicole Miguez. According to Miguez, axolotls are a unique, yet critically endangered species. In the attached column, she explores details students should consider about this creature before bringing one home as a family pet. Many axolotl owners research for more than a year before they start to buy supplies for owning axolotls, Miguez said.
