Opinion: Texas legislature has gone too far

Since the recovery from the COVID-19 lockdowns, students have noticed an increase in inappropriate social media accounts. Opinion writer Caleb Audia created this graphic with Canva to show his opinion of the staff of the newspaper. In the attached editorial, he and co-writers Christi Norris and Gabriella Winans call for an end to posts that could hurt people. If students find themselves victims of one of these accounts, they can report the it on the Instagram app by clicking on the three dots, selecting the Report option, and selecting Report Account.

As the sun sets behind the old grain silos in Downtown Prosper, cars line the street as people go about their evening shopping and dining. While many stores may seem like they offer the same thing as major retailers, by supporting a small business, you are not only supporting an individual person or family and helping pay their bills, writer and junior Rusty Joe Gonzales said. You are also able to get a personalized shopping experience, where you get to talk with the owners as you shop.

Focusing past the air pollution, junior Kalyani Rao captures the night sky from August 10 2021. I got incredibly lucky to end up with a photo that showed off the stars in such an incredible manner, Rao said. I saw a TikTok video on how to take really good photos of the night sky - you just need to have a good camera and know how to edit the exposure and black point. I just turned up the exposure, black point, and contrast until the outlines of the stars started to show. I was beyond excited that it actually worked, since its hard to get good amateur photos of the stars now because of air pollution.

Women choose to wear a hijab for many reasons, but the main reason is that the hijab allows them to retain their modesty, morals and freedom of choice. They choose to cover themselves because, for them, it is liberating, and the hijab allows them to avoid harassment and unwanted attention from men. It is also a symbol of their relationship with God and with their faith. Id give this song a solid 10/10 for its catchy beat, lovely melodies and heartfelt meaning that anyone will be able to understand and relate to, Clark said. A half-empty classroom sits while students await the final bell for the day. The Algebra 2 classroom typically has a student in every seat in the room, but is only filled to half its capacity due to students being sick from COVID-19. I think online school should be offered again, sophomore Kwasi Boamah said. People get sick and they dont quarantine or social distance because they are afraid of missing out, on school their friends or whatever. The school has become a hotspot for COVID-19.
