On another note, the VASE competition will take place Friday at 4:15-9 p.m. and Saturday at 4 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Her rose was a gift from a friend on this holiday event that saw flowers, cards and candy being exchanged throughout the school. Hursman took this shot while working on a photography unit in her fourth-period journalism class. “Valentine’s Day to me is a day to celebrate friendships and love with your family,” Hursman said.
